CyanogenMod | Android Community Rom based on Gingerbread
[ROM] Android Revolution HD™ 6.1.5 | High Quality & Performance | O/C | Legendary – xda-developers
do you know if cyanogenmod will fix the internal storage space problem with my original desire?
actually thats a really dumb question isnt it. God I hope I dont mess this up.
What internal problem? Whatever you do backup first, read the doco all the way through and you should be fine…

there’s so little internal storage on the original desire you cant install so many apps. I have read it loads, following it set by step and it doesn’t even make sense, trying to do the Gold Card and it says to download something from a website but the website has a password.
its rather frustrating because I know it isnt that complex but if the guide isnt accurate then its just such a risk
Mine is a crackberry – bought for its scheduler and email facilities not the apps though some are pretty cool. I run my life out of it pretty much and make full use of the sync to email accounts for scheduler info so that my calendar can be accessed from the business office
The goldcard has been created! excellent!
and I am now rooted. Not sure what to do now lol

Once rooted, choose a rom and install it…

I went with oxygen which seems good, nice and fast. But what I had really hoped for was something that would let me run everything off the SD card and totally bypass the small internal memory. It was the reason I rooted really. But it seems I was wrong about being able to do that grrrr. Damn lack of internal memory on the HTC Desire.
Isn’t there a setting to move each app to the card?
+1 for Android, however I have been constantly changing ROMs etc so loose so much stuff lol

yeah but I want the SD card to be used as the normal storage not just for it to move a little bit of the file across like standard android does.
Ah. You probably need a better phone…
