Coastguard control / ops centre Nederland (operators position appears to be set up so she could still control the two VHF radio sets even if all the computers have crashed and the TENNET national electricity is off (the centre would run on limited emergency power supplies).

Coastguard centre UK (for nearly the whole of England and some bits of Scotland) – all commrercial call centre equipment , and poorly laid out [no partitions to prevent distraction to those dealing with individual incidents/regions]

If the VOIP links to that building fail the whole lot may well be unusable. The weather transmissions and comms from Bawdsey seem to be on much lower power than before and requests for radio checks by small vessels being missed (and they would not know 200km away unless there is something checking the VHF equipment there).

This is also in a closed building 25 km away from any bit of the sea (they haven’t even had the sense to connect the CCTV feeds from the harbourmasters and ports to the big screens)…

it would be mild compared to NL and Sinterklaas/Zwarte Piet (everywhere else in Northern Europe folk would get arrested for doing this!)

and even if there was snow and black people in cites/town of the UK went out to make a snowman they’d probably get stopped and searched anyway as the cops would think “they must all be on drugs to go out the weather” or any “unusual fashions” on the snowman would be “gang colours/identification”
