I bought these Chinese design cycling gloves from Amazon UK (they are designed so you can just about still work a smartphone) it is important to get the right size to keep the cold out (BTW folk of Asian ancestry often have larger hands than you would expect).

I resisted the temptation to ride down Norwich Road late at night at 32+km/h singing these lyrics (from Mackie Messer/Mack The Knife) below; or else I’d probably have got a traffic violation and some kind of “racially aggravated” charge for scaring people [and I did actually have quite a sharp knife somewhere in my panniers]
