I bought these Chinese design cycling gloves from Amazon UK (they are designed so you can just about still work a smartphone) it is important to get the right size to keep the cold out (BTW folk of Asian ancestry often have larger hands than you would expect).
This is what arrived (via Scotland! – maybe my size wasn’t in stock in the UK
I resisted the temptation to ride down Norwich Road late at night at 32+km/h singing these lyrics (from Mackie Messer/Mack The Knife) below; or else I’d probably have got a traffic violation and some kind of “racially aggravated” charge for scaring people [and I did actually have quite a sharp knife somewhere in my panniers]
Ach, es sind des Haifischs Flossen

You shouldn’t use your phone when riding your bike!
A young guy got killed by a truck the pther day, because he was more busy playing with his phone than looking where he was going. 🙁

TBH I only use it for listening to music via a stream or if there is an emergency support call from work – it is normally in the pocket of my cycling jacket and if the stream cuts out etc I leave it until I am at a safer bit of the road.
It is equally (or more) dangerous to do this in Britain (and as illegal as doing so in a car, although there aren’t as many cops who can also ride bicycles in this region, perhaps due to the budget cuts [as the training/risk assessments are seen as too expensive]. a few years back the Chief Constable often rode a racing bike (his name is actually Colin Langham-Fitt) :laugh_at:
there are also are very few people who own the same model of e-bike and the remaining traffic cops do actually have a few brain cells [and are probably jealous they do not get to ride e-bikes like Sussex and City of London cops] so I have to be careful in town anyway or I could end up getting a traffic violation fine and 3 license points + a restriction from certain areas!
Hey I’ve tried to run this fucker over in my truck everytime I see the lazy shit on his self peddaling bike. Even though I try get him while he’s on the phone that damned electic bike outmavouvers me every time. I will get you though GL you bastard. :ar15::ar15::ar15::ar15::ar15:

bear in mind I’ve lived in Ipswich for nearly a decade so have plenty of experience in eluding psychotic truck drivers especially since the EU added yet more rules to their driving and they can no longer take out their frustration on the local sex workers.. 😉
:lol_big:
in which country though? probably RU going by the dudes fairly bald head [and it could be equally likely both of them are sysadmins] which would be safest as if she is a sex worker she is more than likely to load up all sorts of RATs on to his laptop when he goes to the WC or to smoke a cigarette…

It is Japanese :laugh_at:
To be fair not it is a fairly decent radio (although MF/AM only, band II broadcasting was not as common when it was made) as many similar sets only had 5 transistors (3 on the RF stages and 2 for the loudspeaker output amplifier) so would work fairly well even with the small internal ferrite antenna..
Also the lighter operates using butagas and a tradtional flint rather than an electric sparker – which means it wouldn’t make a rough noise across the radio signal whenever the user wished to light up raaa
