I’m not sure if other countries have big shows in TV to collect money for Cancer studies, help for people in need and, and for example AIDS studies?

most national broadcasters do this; although the reputation of the BBC is fucked because it allowed the pedos to get into the hospitals childrens wards and every time it is on TV folk complain about any money going to “foreigners”

UK TV is full with documentaries about mlitary equipment and wars; there are entire channels devoted to this.

We also allow rich old men who still think they are fighting World War II to hoard various small aircraft and fly them in busy skies without regular medical checks on pilots and safety checks on the aircraft (which often lack modern radio and navigation equipment) – they quite regularly crash and kill as many folk (often their own friends and families as well as spectators at airshows) as the foreign terrorist groups everyone is paranoid about.

it is likely a UK based company sold Flyvevåbnet the aircrafts or at least some of the equipment inside (especially radars, encrypted radio and surveillance systems) – the UK tech industry has always specialised in military/defence stuff and surveillance equipment – the non lethal stuff is also used by BBC (who have always been good friends of the RAF, their boffins are even sometimes allowed to transmit on military frequencies) for their investigative shows and nature films.

The BBC is handing out small embedded computers with full Bluetooth capability to school children – the smarter kids are almost certain to eventually end up using them to hack and spy on their classmates mobile phones…

I found better a open source GIS app the Germans have coded that links to Openstreetmap. It wasn’t that easy to install and I have to get the elevation data from the EU into it (which takes ages to download and the first file I used is wrong format) but at least the mapping data (which appears to be updated from DE as well) shows both sites for my work (not far from a military aerodrome) with the official UN approved marker that means “do not drop bombs or fire missiles at this location, it is a medical facility”…

An old boy at work requested this safe for his room (to store some personal items) – the battery for the electronic lock was totally run down, the override keys mislaid and the door locked.

After a quick online search it took me all of 10 seconds to pop the bolts open so I could replace the batteries and reset the code – I did warn the other staff about this security issue (although it would still not be easy for an unauthorised person to remove it from the room as it still weighs a few kilos and opening it in this manner would make noise.
