Keeping an eye on it lol.

it is written in American – which often has to be translated back into European English anyway.
I have often found it quicker to read articles about science or technology in Dutch, French or German rather than in American as you have to convert all the units to metric as well
UK ARE SAME FOOLISH IN METRIC , EVEN UK AND USA HAS DIFFERENT METRIC EACH OTHER, WHY CANT UR COUNTRIES FOLOW ALL OTHERS ????
What? We are fuck all like the Americans and Americans use imperial measurements unlike the rest of the world.

I THOGHT THERE WERE DIFFERENCE , BUT 1 THING IS SURE BOTH COUNTIES DOESNT USE THE METER AND THE KG,But i think when i was last time in usa (i was 12) that they were driving on the same side as by us and not like UK
And imperialism, wasn’t Bonapart french, never heard that england had an emperor???

, ok u were not so wrong apart that Americans doesn’t use imperial measurements anymore (what they write) i remember the cars speed is still in miles per hour in usa
Americans 100% DO still use imperial measurements. When they start physics or Maths courses at higher level they have to be retaught to use meters and kilograms etc.

but thy drive normal way?
Wrell, they drive on the opposite side to we do but think we drive on the opposite side to you as well.

A TEASPOON, A CUP……:you_crazy:laugh_at:
LOL is fucking ridiculous. Here’s an MIT physics lecture where the prof (Walter Lewin) has to tell them to forget feet and inches.
USA does drive on the right; many of the USA founding fathers were the Protestants from mainland Europe (the ones no one wanted in their countries due to their miserable attitudes). At one point German was an official language of some regions and is still widely understood as a second language.
it is only in the UK and Asian countries that were part of the Empire (the King/Queen and military took the place of the emperor; today they are still called HM Forces) where traffic goes to the left (this includes bicycles and pedestrians) although their street signs and speed limits are now all metric.
Compared to the rest of Europe, England and Wales (Scotland may well be more advanced) remains notoriously bad for mixing up Imperial and metric measurements across engineering and skilled trades – even in new buildings where all the materials come from European suppliers and are sold in metric; building plans are in metric but even young building workers “think in Imperial” and often get the conversions wrong.
This is a constant source of angst and annoyance at my work especially when it involves things like plumbing – as part of a project I have been assigned at work the rest of the maintenance crew and some contractors have to fix a flow meter from NL (this can only be bought in UK with DIN flange connectors) to this main water pipe (10+ bar of water!) – the idea being that any leaks from defective pipework elsewhere or taps being left open cause a voice alarm to be sent via a telephone line.
the picture below is how the water company service pipe is connected to the rest of the building (via some storage tanks).
I created this document as a warning to what will happen if this goes wrong (and there are 230V electric sockets near to the service pipe)

That picture reminds me that (and i would understand why) european are using inches for all what aproach water dimentions ?(tubes diametzers)
Hmmmmmmm, possibly. But then the liter is derived from the centimeter (1 cubic centimeter of pure water at 3 degrees centigrade is 1 milliliter).
