your spelling is impeccable :p
and you’re right. they don’t really matter at the end of the day, if you’ve got the work ethic.
i cried when i got my gcses, what a loser :p
har! i dunno about that, my boss gets infuriated about my spelling!
your right if the work ethic is there then they dont matter,i left school and went straight into pikey sales, ive been making it up on my cv ever since, if i wanted to go to uni, college etc then they would of matterd i suppose.
you cried when you got your GCSE’S! fair play alot of people put years of hard work and dedication into them and for some they dictate what they do next, why did you cry because they were good/bad or just that the ordeal was over?
i had found hardcore techno, women & soundsystems a few years before my gcse’s so i never really did the school thing that much, towards the end it was just getting a joke & i think school just wanted us gone! infact in one assembly we were refferd to as a cancer eating away at the school by our headmaster! bless em they tried there best!
you’re right, i suppose you do have to make it up and work harder in later life to get to the same place. but i think a-levels are what they’re really bothered with if you get them.
hahaha i cried because they were better than i expected for no revision, 8 As and 2 Bs, and my mum and aunt were giving me loads of hugs and it made me teary lmao. i’m such a loser. and then i called my dad and he was like “2 BS?! well thats not good” and put the phone down on me so i cried more because i was angry.
🙂 if you don’t regret it then there’s nothing wrong with that. sometimes i wish i cared less about being academic because it’s so much stress, wondering whether you’re gonna be able to get into the uni you want etc.

What grades did your Dad get??

all Bs – Ds, same with his a-levels and went to a average uni. ironic, eh?
other than being a different gender and not crying (more being angry) that could have been me in 1988 (and my Dad didn’t do so well either, but I think he wanted me to make up for it) – it was basically what made me get more into drugs – I scraped through my a-levels, lasted only two years in Uni (chucked out for diverting from the course and discovering the Internet two years before it was officially allowed to the public :laugh_at) and somehow survived the 90s, but was sailing very close to the wind at some points with regard to getting sectioned or banged up for doing something stupid…
calmed down a lot now and got a good job but I don’t exactly look upon the 90s with particularly fond memories. All those people who say “your youth is the best part of your life” are chatting breeze IMO, its fucking harsh and insecure and I wouldn’t want to repeat it again. That said I don’t consider myself “old” as such, just a bit more mature and stable…
as for Sam (our young dude with the telephone number for a username), I suggest he at least gets some edumacation, so you can at least read, write and add up. A surprising amount of young folk who were “too cool for school” now struggle with these things, even basic English and arithmetic…
Common sense, manners and good ethics is what you need in life. Unforetunately these things can’t be taught and are usually learnt through life experiences.

wowsers in trousers! thats some exellent results! fair play, so you in uni now then?
probz shouldn’t read my post cause after just finishing typing i can’t think anything i’ve typed is relevant interesting or another adjective cause apparently using three is more effective, learnt that in school! and errm yeh i almost started to ramble in the dont ramble section of my rambling post.
ANYWAYS the post is just a ramble about me feeling half sorry for myself.
Where can i start a thread of just HEY how are you today? what’ve you done today, sorta along those lines
so i can do this crucial getting know people 🙂
btw if you were wondering i think i did godlike in my maths exam
just got back did a maths exam
i cant work causse i dont have direction therefore the only reasion i work/pretend to is to please my dad.
Without true momentum behind my work i just find myself sitting at a desk staring into space and then going out rather than working cause i don’t have a real direction
but i don’t even care 😀 i’m ridiculosuly happy with my life, and extremely glad to be alive whether im not underachieving in LIFE(just school but according to some thats life) after hearing what minghead’s saidd… i really don’t think i should take any advice from you lot 😛
as thats not the way i wanna go in life 😀 but still it sounds fun, and if you don’t regret it thats great.
thinking about it the only time im feeling pathetic or indifferent is when im with my family/teachers telling me to work me cause im clever i can do it but i don’t do it.
ultimately, i chat shit
my gcse maths exams were the best papers ever.. basically all just common sense so no revision was needed. glad they’re going well for you 🙂 maths was so boring, physics is where it’s at.

God she hated me that teacher.. I must of got 100% on my exam or something. Would easyily of got A or A* if she had put me in the right group. =D
