get to know people and have a look around the site, unfortunatly as people dont know you they will be reluctant to hand out info to a stranger. (as it says in this thread) Goodluck for finding a party this new year…
Read and taken in.. keep it free
A party advertised in the public domain requires a PEL to go ahead. Public domain can be flyers, the net, etc [anywhere the information might be found by a member of the public basically]
Please also do not use partyvibe to post potentially incriminating evidence of events which are not your own [you can choose to take those risks for yourself but not for others- there are potentially jail sentences and very large fines involved if convicted] – so thats names of crews, pictures where vehicles can be identified [especially number plates], faces of the people attending where they could be recognized, locations, name of rigs and their members.
If you do want to be able to openly advertise an event then you must, by law, get a license [be it TENs or PEL] for that event with all the conditions these impose.
Cops and Governments are clamping down, and trying to drive people towards only attending parties which have been licensed or authorised, although it is still the human right of all EU citizens to assemble with their friends and invite them to a private event which does not cause disruption to others.
So please be careful what you say here – even if you are excited and eager to let everyone know how good the party will be.
If the event has not been licensed then do not say anything in a public forum about its potential location – even if you have been invited in advance and know extra info because your friends in the crew / elves and pixies told you.
Just mentioning a region can be enough to give the local council enough time to get extra cops, or legal paperwork required to stop the event.
Putting up a partyline on the public internet means that cops can either ring it to find out info, get it shut down as its against your terms of service to use a mobile for “illegal” activity, or perhaps even monitor its usage pattens in order to get intelligence!
If you wish parties to continue, please don’t make it any harder for party crews..
BUMP……… :bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl
bored are we? :group_hug:laugh_at:
Bump raaa
We can’t always just think that a post can be monitored by police who reads the board, the information will
be spread on the internet in a very few moments. We need to realize that google-bots, yahoo-bots
(tiny search engines who reads info on the internet)index posts and threads about 30 seconds after it
have been posted, and then it’s everywhere.
I know we all want Partyvibe to be known and a good place to be, we therefore need to respect Admin, fellow members, ourself and the forum to keep ourselves and each other out of trouble and be careful with what we write.
One thing is to incriminate yourself and risk ruining your future, but we need to be equally or more careful about what we post about other people.
You can only protect yourself to a certain limit, but you can’t really be sure about what other people write about you.
Again, think before you type

yeah well said… coz if u say something, and it is later removed, chances are google has already stored a cached version anyway.
google do remove the cached version from their public site, but its also trivial for someone with a linux machine and a small bit of tech knowledge to set up a bot what stalks a forum or website, records all the contents and indexes changes (for instance some people do this to check if the BBC and other sites are moderating comments on the “have your say” bit)
I have been made aware by a number of sources including at least one serving Police Officer that all raves (both unlicensed and even some licensed events) are now increasingly being monitored by the Serious/Organised Crime Division of constabularies as opposed to just the Safer Neighbourhood Teams.
This is because of a perception that the majority (rather than just a proportion) of the funding for hosting these events now comes from the sale of illegal drugs, particularly ketamine.
It is at this point the cops are given the authorisation to use more advanced surveillance/intelligence gathering methods, and they are able to override human rights/privacy laws to push through drugs investigations. This option is available to all law enforcement agencies across the EU and beyond as it is a UN law that drug use is illegal!
Well said 🙂
