  • It’s pretty worrying when you think about the list of new tactics /laws the ob are using to get ppl nowadays.

I’m not talking about asbo’s although that is one of them. It’s more about what they are doing after the party.

I think organisers need to be extra careful these days and should be aware of these new tractics as you may do a party which goes off fine but its whats happening in the weeks afterwards that is bothering me.

Going round ppl’s homes and raiding them looking for sound equipment regarding for example a party that never received a section 63. Raiding ppl’s houses for speakers a week after the party which was never deemed as an “illegal rave” – there was also only 50 ppl there so hardly a major event.

Sending everyone who had a vehicle at the party a ticket for offences such as “Driving elsewhere than on a road”. In some cases vehicles were either on private farmers land wherem, (if i am correct) road traffic law shouldn’t apply or parked on a Byway (BOAT) path which is a Public highway open to all traffic where that offence also shouldnt apply. They have also sent them to ppl who were on common land so will be a lot harder to avoid being proseucuted.

I’ve heard they have tried using the ol’ “illegal bar” offence, public nuisance, breach of the peace, amoungst other offences. PEL laws for a party that didnt require one.

I’ll write more when i have time, but its interesting to know that they have a bee in their bonnet in certain areas of the uk and are going all out to get ppl, ravers and organisers a like. and most of this has been happening in what i would class as one of the “safest” areas of south england to hold a event.

I hear what you’re sayin’ chum. Organizers MUST be aware of the potentional worries that can happen at, or after a party.

sorry if this sounds harsh but there are no safe areas of England, and even remoter parts of the UK will not remain tolerated if overused or contaminated by rubbish, shit etc..

most likely rave areas have been rinsed since the early 90s….

there were no safe areas to start with, it was only that cops and locals had fewer resources, less surveillance kit and the party scene was viewed as a bit of harmless mischief rather than a criminal anti-social activity organised by selfish, dysfunctional people…

there are also way more cops around because of the terrorist attacks etc

just because people got away with raves in certain areas didn’t mean locals welcomed you with open arms. they felt angry, bullied and powerless that people could just invade them, make a bunch of noise and laugh in their faces.

I’ve seen people take the piss out of dog walkers, cyclists etc at the Ridgeway, hardly surprised they dial 999 now…

nowadays both ravers and locals are stubborn and prepared to stand up for themselves so there is a stalemate situation developing..

    hay,

i wanna do the aztec site, how can i get in contact with aztec?

Not sure if Im correct on this but Im fairly sure that bundled in with the 24 hour drinking thing is a clause for private partys of up to 499 people as long as there is a licensed bar on the site.like I said though not absolutely sure on this.

It does indeed exist; here is how to go about getting one.
