the name thing is a bit of a joke, personally I think its a bit daft like the secret admirer function but it harms no one (it did manage to confuse me though last weekend when I came back from that reading warehouse rave and I’d know about it for months)..

new users do get the donation page but its not compulsory; it was more aimed at the large number of commercial event promoters we get that sign up here merely to promote their nights, plus this site does use a lot of bandwidth as people from all across the world download all the mps3 files etc…

fair enough, I gotta admit I dont need tonnes of negativity, but some is inherant in nature and I need to be able to express that without some hippy trying to cheer me up..

Alright GL, long time, long time.. aahhh, yeah well okay I’ll shuttit now. Fair enough on most counts… I understand.
I still don’t get how bandwidth is charged for considering say my Demonoid torrent ratio is 1.3 and I’ve upped over 50gb and downed 30gb… for free, where’s that bandwidth coming from eh :groucho:

You can’t run a server off a home internet connection because you need better quality bandwidth. And you’re either leasing a server or paying the company to host one…

for me squatjuice is kinda more helpful if ya lookin for quick info but for reliable info without the pointless trollin PV is the place.
