I’m with barrett, suits are the one.

I once turned down a high-pressure job cos they tried to make me wear their stupid suit. Fuck it, I didn’t wanna be a deep-sea diver anyway!

I have a couple but I prefer casual dress shirts and t-shirts. I also like suits.

But yeah when the weather’s good a nice polo shirt is ace. I like the darker ones like navy blue and I prefer them to be a bit more loose fitting than most, but that’s just something I prefer in my clothes in general, except my AWEZUM PUNK JEANS.

Yeah I feel you on the suits man, nothing beats a nice slim fitting suit.

    You know that mate!

I only had one job I needed a suit for, was in sales ( no surprise there, where appearance is more important than content )

    BUT

I do like wearing a good suit, very little opportunity, only job interviews, weddings etc, but a good ( tailored or at least adjusted to fit, not off the peg ) suit does give you a certain confidence, make you walk and stand different, and people look at you and treat you differently too

Not into Nikies, but year MDMA gets wicked reactions in clubs and gives great confidence, but in work it’s frowned upon lol

That’s a good point mate, bosses are such miserable cunts sometimes!

Thats what they’re paid for…… I was a dept supervisor years ago and I was a great boss ( for those below me ), very flexible with time, took my team out to lunch every Friday ( my treat ), used to do quizzes like ‘guess the song from the lyric’ and ‘guess the movie from the quote’ with box of chocs & bottle of wine for the winner each week, gave good appraisals minimising the short falls of some……….. but I was too nice, they ended up taking the piss, and when I had to lay the law down I hated it, and people I used to work along side, even go out on the town with kinda cut me out, like when a convo goes silent when I entered the room……….. being a boss is not for everyone, you have to be willing to set yourself apart and not be friends with the people you work with, was not for me.

They say everyone is promoted to the point of their incompetence, well incompetence is a bit strong but it’s certainly true you get promoted until you reach a position where you dont excel, then you stop getting promoted and get stuck doing a bad job when you were excellent and the previous job that got you promoted lol

Polo shirts have always name in the world and they will be as the world stands. I’m a big fan of this brand and I always will be.

I am one and I don’t mind it, I got the position because of my technical and business skills and I don’t go to work to make friends, I have friends outside of the workplace, which means I can keep my work and fun life totally separate…..

I love wearing polo shirts in Summer!

    OHH..
these shirts are tremendous and fabulous
    JHON

Aren’t they supposed to be for toffs?

even where deezl lives is viewed (not far away from where I went to school during one part of the 1980s) as a comparatively posh part of SE England compared to many areas of East Anglia (though Cambridge and some parts of Mid Suffolk are are seen as up market, as is Southwold).

I still don’t own and will not wear a polo shirt – these garments do indeed come from the Sloane Ranger culture of the 1980s, as does the wearing of a suit in leisure hours, anywhere outside of a formal office environment or Court/answering to bail (where they could be the difference betwen a caution or going before the beak). Last time I wore a suit in town (about 2004) I was mistaken for CID
