TBH half the resources of the OB are taken up due to whinging middle englanders constantly calling 999 for things what aren’t even actual crime..

    true..

A man who was scared of thunder and would not get off the phone until the storm ended was just one of a number of “inappropriate” calls made to the Westcountry Ambulance Service (WAS).

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/3443107.stm

this reminds me when I was working at a call centre trying to sell windows (never again!) and we phoned telephone numbers in sequential order and every so often a random number would connect to the emergency services?? really annoying

My dad works for LAS (London ambulance service) and was called out for 6 seperate incidents containing – migraine, flu and ear ache last week……….. :you_crazy
They get enough shite for not getting to calls on time – how are they expected to when their time is being wasted on shit like this……

yay …inaproriate laughter .. :you_crazy fucking ob .. as if they not got other things to waste there time on

    We can but dream…

i got a head ache right now … .. :yakk: where the fuck are my personal ambulace servise … lol :you_crazy

Think it takes a certain type of person to be a copper. My uncle was the head of CID in Bton when I woz a kid lol…. and we share the same birthday… oh the irony

I fkn hate them but, when ure watching gfangs of kids outside your house nicking your truck they are quite handy!

Its not the police that are the problem its the laws and the people who make them. The police are just doing a job, you get some good ones n some bad ones same as in any job. I’ve got ex coppers as mates and often chat to serving coppers I know in local pubs and out of uniform there usualy decent folk.
I think when they start in the job they have something to prove and abit of a chip on there sholders but towards the end of there working life they chill out and just hold on for the pention. A mate of mine who was a sergent was part of a force who raided a party we organised in 95 ran over to me while we was getting evicted and gave me a big hug n said “sorry I’ve only got 2 years left” in full uniform. 2 years later he was smoking pot in my caravan at a folk festival.

TBH a police strike would be a absolute fucking nightmare for this country rather than anyones “dream…”

as others have mentioned the military would be deployed.

Instead of a bored, disaffected bobby (who might be more likely to turn a blind eye to certain stuff), you would get 20-30 something soldiers, who would be overworked, shellshocked and psychotic due to what many would have already experienced in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Plus Middle Englanders may well decided to form their own “Dads Army” style “militia” to protect their property, out of blind panic.

Add to this mixture all the pissheads, crackheads, the gangs and warring ethnic groups of todays Britain. Consider how angry a lot of “normal” men are these days, and how easy it is to make improvised weapons of all sorts using info found on-line, and how many might want to take advantage of a perceived state of lawlessness to settle scores.

this could descend into a nasty situation where people on all sides would actually end up getting hurt and killed (more than what already happens in todays streets!) as a worst-case it would result in bad feelings and feuds that could last generations, long after things “returned to normal”.
