AFOAF is planning on making a moonshine still with a pressure cooker/copper piping. The only thing he needs to know is, how the hell do you secure the copper pipe onto the lid of the pressure cooker!?

something strong so it doesn’t come off, idk tape or glue seems like a bad idea b/c of the heat.. maybe some type of puddy. idk

Just for the record, it’s actually AFOAF doing this, if i were me, I don’t give a shit about self incrimination. I thought about some kind of puddy used for when you have leaks in the house, but then I remembered that it has to withstand a bit of pressure, and any leaks = BOOM. I know there are all kinds of fittings and shit, but I’m not a plumber, i have no idea what to get.

Edit: Well, it’s a friends friend and i’m helping…

i’d suggest taking measurements of the key deminsions of the pressure cooker and then heading to a big box hardware store and seeing what matches the measruements you took… although that isn’t fool proof and like you i am not a plumber.

idk maybe tryptameanie will have some ideas he’s online right now. after that maybe General Lighting seems to be our most mechanically inclined member but he may or may not see this thread.
