I helped organize a private birthday party on friday nite on private land in norfolk. the party went well and the system and set up was sweet.
Until some people from London (so i have heard from a friend that they turned up at her house saturday and robbed her twice) arrived who did not know any of the people involved with the event and decided they were going to rob people of there gear at the party. 2 of my mates nearly got mugged and some matey got kidnapped out of the party in there car, robbed of his gear, beating the shit out of a left down the track in daze. He came back to the party on his own with a 2 inch gash in his head where he had been beaten with something or had his head smashed in the door of a car. matey cant even remember wot happened to him, he didnt even know he had been robbed.
The land owner stopped the party just after 8am because of wot happened to this lad.
His mates stayed at the party for another 2 hours before the landowner forced them to leave saying that their friend needed to go to the hospital and they were not doing anything about it.
I cant believe this has happened at one of my parties, its not cool and i dont like it 😥
some people really do make you think “wow, they kids in 10 years are gonna be worse then this.”
was established who they were?
yeh we are slowly finding out more info about them from facebook, they have been named and shammed but we r waiting to see if the names are 100% definite before anything happens to these people.
Gettin 2 different stories atm, will be gettin to the bottom of it soon tho…
good good, does my head in this sort of thing, group of say 20-30 people wanna have a little knees up, then some how a bunch of inbred trogledites think there big and bad cause they have matching track suits and decide they’re entitled to be there and just cause shit.
classic chav line is ‘you don’t see me bruv’…..errmmm, yea i do, your like 2 inches from my face. fucking wasters…..
rant over lol
Unfortunately with London being relatively close, a lot of people here having drugs dealing links with the capital and many more young people having access to cars than 10 or 20 years ago this will continue to be a problem. My local friends got stalked from a London party and lost their rig recently.
And the “friends” of whoever got hurt should have gone straight to NNUH, James Paget or West Suffolk (whichever is nearest), or called in Eastamb. Yes, the feds will arrive too if you call a Ambulance to a rave (standard protocol when they have to attend night time events including licensed ones) but if the party gets locked off so be it. Peoples health is more important.
I hope the lad recovers but if he suffers any complications from lack of medical treatment his family have the right to sue his friends and the party organisers (i.e yourself) in civil Court. This is different to criminal law, but it means that anyone organising a party has a duty of care to everyone involved (which is why the landowner quite rightly stopped the party and sent those jobanowls on their way to hospital)
BTW I strongly advise those involved to swallow their pride and go to the Police especially if the event wasn’t illegal.
Wannabe gangsters won’t go away after a “few slaps”, they will come back for revenge. A lot of party organisers have learned this the hard way, to the point some have had to sheepishly cooperate with the Police whether they like it or not.
You lot simply don’t have the power to take away their freedom of movement like the proper criminal justice system does, and I guess most of you aren’t stupid enough to want to try and execute your enemies and lose 20 years of your youth in jug for it..
Often these scrotes are wanted for many other crimes and your report could be the one what sends them down. GBH and false imprisonment carry a sentence of several years. There is Crimestoppers as well if you don’t want to talk to actual cops for whatever reason. Both them and old bill can work with Facebook and get evidence that you can’t.
Turns out these people arnt from london, they live in bury st emunds. and its not the first time these people have been robbing ravers either.
some one just sed on facebook “fair play u got robbed dont get gassed up about bury, say nuttin” what sort of statement is that?
Some people fink they own the place. Aparently these lads asked a few people if a certain family from my area lived in the site we did the party, as soon as thye found out they didnt, they started tryin to rob ppl.
We wont be going to old bill about this, sweet revenge will be taken…
if any of the cunts drive put a half a cup of sand in there fuel tank. it’ll seize the engine, hopefully blowing the bottom end an possibly the crank will shot out of the block….or take a baseball bat and ram it up the sods arse
I have to agree with General Lighting. I think swallowing your pride and telling the old bill is the best idea. Vigilantism is not the answer, if these people were willing to rob and kidnap just because the opportunity was there, imagine the backlash if you took your own revenge.
The police are an annoyance to us party folk, but they are there to protect and I’m sure they would help you.
there are a lot of people in BSE (and other parts of Suffolk) who originally came from London estates and have often been put out of estates for anti-social behaviour etc, or even relocated for their own safety.
I’d tread carefully though. Even if you are wholly capable of overpowering your enemies, once the party scene becomes known for “gang activity” and “criminal families taking turf” which is exactly what is going on here, the cops will start trying to lock down everything for everyones safety.
Its also because of this why its near impossible to do a rave in Suffolk or Essex (including legal ones), not simply because a few fields get trampled and some elderly bumpkins kicked up. Ironically EA free parties became popular because there was slightly less gang activity than in mainstream licensed venues, particularly after the mid 1990s and the fall out from the Leah Betts case.
I do appreciate a lot of younger people would have been small kids when certain shit went on in the 1990s, but the rest of society has long memories.
sorry, got a bit too OFTT there, my brother just robbed one of my napalm death cd’s, damn him
basicly matey who got robbed doesnt want old bill involved and wants to sort it out himself so we r going to let him. Tbh old bill arnt gona do shit if no1 wants to give them any info. Im sure not going to sit in a n interveiw and tell them what i know, would involve spilling too many names about too many people places and things!

Very very fair point. I suppose then the police would know you as a raver and who knows what tabs they would have on you. I probably should have thought about that one.
But using violence to counter violence will always end badly.
federals have ‘more important things to do’, like speeding tickets, dealing with drunk idiots on friday and saturday nights. I don’t trust the police at all, there more hassle than good a majority of the time, especially in bucks, they all have something to prove
fair enough, its up to him but whilst its true the cops won’t do shit about the robbery if no one tells them, they will simply start locking off the parties if they feel there is a risk of violence.
This isn’t the first violent incident at EA parties this year either.
Cops already know this sort of thing is happening – they monitor FB as well, and here and any other rave forums they can find.
It also costs the NHS a lot of money to patch up victims, and whilst they don’t tell the cops the names (against human rights) the staff aren’t stupid, many are our age and they notify the licensing committee that they suspect the victim was injured “due to violence at an unlicensed music event”.

ironically this was the very reason why unlicensed parties were left alone. But as soon as people are regularly getting beaten up and robbed at these things, there comes a point where they have to “do something”. Of course their view will be “no parties, less crime..”
