  • Hey guys…
Me and some pals are planning our first own rave party. We know a lot of hobby-djs who will deejay for a small pay… Another point we are planning at the moment is the laser-/lightshow that should look like that one so we hope to find someone really professional. We already rent a free area and a tent like one of that ones. We want to finance the location, musik, drinks, security and all that other stuff by entrance fees (even if we won’t have a profit in the end, it should be a great event). Therefor we need a lot of people to come and to do a lot of advertising. So that is where i could need your help… We advertise per local radio station and want to hang out some placards. Until now we couldn’t find an offeror, that really seems to be very professional. google only shows ‘cards’ instead of placards in shops and shows the definition :annoyed:
But i dont need the f****** definition! i need a professional shop! can anyone here help me and knows some offerors of placards???

Find a good copy/print shop and do the layout of the posters yourself… DIY ftw

and you probably need to sort out a license for the event….so you might want to think about making an adhoc membership club for the occasion. Like it is a private event with invites only…that will sure make the burocrazy a bit easier….

thank you for the tip 😉 you think they will control the thing about ‘only for invited people’ somehow??
copy shop is a good idea, i’ll keep my eyes open

What country and region are you in? this makes a big difference as to what is allowed/tolerated (licensing enforcement can vary by regions).

Your links hint at an area where German is the main language; some Länder (or it may be the Gemeinden) are very strict about licensing (apparently you still cannot even dance on Sundays in those areas).

there does appear to be a standard EU rule that events with up to 500 people do not require as much licensing as bigger events and the cost is only a few Euros for the license (a fraction of the other production costs). Even in UK we can sometimes use this. In France some Départements don’t even want the paperwork if its a rural area and not too many people; but others forbid the event altogether. It often simply depends on what the prevailing view of the local community is there.

So you have to check the rules for where your event is going to end up.

As for the flyers; unless there is also a rule against litter and environment contamination / junk mail there surely must be hundreds through your door for shops, restaurants from all multicultural communities, beer festivals. In the UK they often say in the corner what print shop produced them (this is from an old legal requirement but is of course good advertising for the print company; as printing presses were developed in Germany I would not be surprised if the same also applies.
