Can anyone give me some clear concise information regarding gastroenteritis/ Irital bowel syndrome and psychedelic drugs.
– in lament terms, getting the shits whilst tripping.

I have never had the problem myself how ever last night three mates of mine took some Dali llamas in small doses and they all got stomach cramps, gas and one of them got diarrhea. Another time my other half took a capsule of Shroom shake and full on evacuated his bowels which was horrid and at the same time hilarious.

I’ve never had this problem but it has caused me concern. I am dreading taking psychedelics now at a festival for the fear of this happening (and finding myself in a sticky situation of needing do go poop, and not finding a toilet in time…at a festival)

I looked it up and all I have found is people reporting this happening yet no explanations given 🙁

It’s possibly because the body recognises it as a toxin and tries to get rid of some of it, or because whoever handled the goods and bagged them up was ill at the time and the germs have been passed on that way. Not a definitive answer, just an educated guess. If you’re worried about it happening at a festival, make sure you carry a bog roll around with you at all times – you might even start an odd new trend mate, ha ha!

I have never experienced this on any psys (although acid does seem to give me the farts for some reason).

I’ve had some stomach grumblings from eating liberties but that is probably more as a result of having a few of the wrong variety mixed in with the goodies (the peril of picking while tripping).

first time i did shrooms (lib caps) i had stomach cramps towards the end of the night, i didn’t have the shits though, just pains in my stomach. it might have been the fact i hadnt eaten tbf
