this is the puppy BTW. its called Nikita (presumably by the animal shelter) but only linked to the news article and not yet up for rehoming (I think the vet needs to check her over first)

in the 1970s my Dad (who liked motorbikes) knew a fair few – my family ran a launderette and they used to get their leathers drycleaned there (exploding other myths that they were racist and never cleaned their leathers.). Also, I was also a heavy user of amfetamine at some points in my life. you do not do this with without encountering bikers at various points 😉 the amount of criminality they are involved today in is no worse than many younger folk in London including those on the periphery of the party scene..

In fact violence and group rape was rife all across the so-called “counterculture” in the 1960s/70s of the USA. Some of the “right on hippy” musicians like Hendrix were very abusive towards female groupies.

This level of violence was slightly less common here but only because the UK alternative cultures was not as big as it seemed and more heavily infiltrated by CID/Special Branch etc who weeded out the worst of the nutters (this was the time when cops could get away with even doing drugs and keep their badge and shield!).

its not actually, although I do need to read that what with his legendy status and all. It was a uk devision (is that the right word) I am talking about if memory serves, not sure of the book name but I can hunt the bookcase if required. The book has some great stories about their drug endeavours (lots of speed as you say).

My best mate from schools dad was a Hells Angel apparently, not sure if its true though.

I remember Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (band) had a lot of problems and even cancelled gigs after threats from the Hells Angels due to their logo being similar. No idea what happened about that in the end.

lol, tis true there are a lot of books than seem to know a surprisingly large amount about things they shouldn’t. Hard to feel its not a load of bollocks made up to sell books.

Some of the “hard man” books are so funny, bless them.
