I think the one what got shut down was in Gloucestershire constabulary area and this was TVP…

TVP are very variable though and can go in heavy. it depends on what else is going on in the area. had a look at TVP press releases and there were some very nasty road traffic collisions that weekend as well as various incidents of violence- these take up resources which could have been used to shut down such an event. that force often uses the traffic units (Tango Victors) as covert forward intelligence teams (due to the gary boy culture associated with raves in that area) but last weekend they were mostly dealing with various unfortunates what had got run over…

I lived in the area in the pre Airwave radio days, and some people had radio scanners and if you ever listened in it was clear the cops were stretched to their limit on many occasions. I am however aware of TVP taking officers away from rape and murder investigations to close down raves, particularly when the victims were the same age as most ravers (particularly the rape and attempt murder of two girls in Reading in 2005). TVP did not even cover this up but told the mainstream media they had done so to try and “shame” the ravers…

this was a wicked party ,an old exodus party venue . good crowd n good vibes :bounce_fl:bounce_g::bounce_fl:bounce_g:

Families hit by ‘rave’ misery – Milton Keynes Today

Angry residents are calling on police and Milton Keynes Council to get tougher with noisy revellers at weekend raves.

They complain authorities have been soft in failing to break up recent rowdy events on land off Paddock Lane, Woburn Sands and near the Beacon pub at Mount Farm, Bletchley.

Families fear they face more nights of broken sleep with the bank holiday approaching.

Woburn Sands councillor David Hopkins says there were numerous calls to a council emergency help-line.

Thames Valley Police seemed “very reluctant to intervene due to lack of resources and our environmental health officers when faced with 200 to 300 ravers are not really in a position to order anything to be done”.

He has requested a report from police on their handling of the events and drawing up of plans by the council to deal immediately with any further trouble.

A Woburn Sands resident claims a number of revellers at the rave there last weekend were local and that “drugs were freely available. Apparently, someone collapsed on Saturday night. Both police and an ambulance attended.”

Another protesting about noise from raves on Friday and Saturday said she called the helpline and police “but neither seemed to do anything about shutting down the party”.

A council spokesman said officers went to rave sites following complaints.

“A noise abatement notice was served at the scene of the first rave in Woburn Sands.

“We are currently working in partnership with the police to find the landowners so further action can be taken.

“The second rave happened illegally on land owned by the Parks Trust and we are investigating the problem with the police.”

A comment from Thames Valley police was awaited as the Citizen was going to press

MK party was sweeeet, was avin it all night an day, prper stonker!!
