I did happen upon the Fartboy Slit fing on the telly and though I don’t like the man much I thought he’d at least mix live. Imagine my surprise when a shit wedge of foam landed on the decks and *nothing* changed! No difference in quality what-so-ever. Either the man has some kind of alien technology or he’s a fraud.
Perhaps both.
Thing that annoys me is that a mates equipment is impounded (amongst others eh?!) for *just trying* to have a rave party in an unused building near Shoreham which, having seen others has always had precautions for Exits, First Aid, Water Access and Security which by the way was a shed load better than the fiasco at Brighton Beach.
I’m not really a political bod but I know a bit about advertising and the way I see it everything we hate in adverts is coming to an end. Competition has forced most ads to be some vision of unattainable perfection, with that we see an increase in diet related “Illness” and more recently self mutilation (just check out your average teeny dirt bag). This trend continues to rise and even Saachi & Saachi admit now that it’s beco-ming impossible to sell to kids, especially ugly ones =). Anybody notice that girlies have fatter arses these days?
The people on the beach are looking for an escape into something they trust and the sponsors are selling on abstraction “drugs” and cool, “Better than you” advertising; an out moded dinosaur that’s killing itself. The camera always cuts to the attractive “ideal” havin’ it chik of today but the fat munted rugger grl is ignored, see Mix Mag et al. My point is that the UK herd have it easy, aside from the little inadequacies they might feel, and if you want anything hard enough in this country you can get it, many though are comfortable.
I get annoyed about politics when I have to fill out a form for some crap or another (bit selfish yeah), like I got given a car recently and it’ll cost more to fix up propa than it’s worth! For fucks sake! It’s an amazing wheely steed that works well enough and frankly a fantastic piece of engineering, but shit apparently… throw the wreck away. I have no *time* to spend with it no matter how excellent it is, it would seem.
At the risk of sounding like grandad, everyone is totally spoilt in the UK and if they like being fooled by govenments and the media then more fool them. When it comes to Travelers though the government need to nip that one in the bud, too right! Can’t be seen to have a *real* alternative lifestyle cuz people might wake up from their very comfortable albeit totally false product driven existances.
Just my slash against the wall. Nobody really knows what anything costs is what I mean, just how much they pay for it.
The community has died.
I’m moving articles from our old system to the forum. The DVD probably wasn’t out at the time…
