Anyone go to it?

I’m just curious as it was my old city (don’t want too much info about the rig names etc on the public forum of course) and there are loads of people from round that way on here now..

I’ve been tempted to go back there for a few winter parties but the memories Reading holds for me are sort of bitter-sweet (particularly after various incidents amongst my old friends this year) which is why I haven’t been back there much (although I miss a few good friends and the remainder of my family who live there)

I popped in for a couple of hours…

I had thought it was for a more specific reason, but I think everyone was shattered/battered from Friday (those that know, know)…which was incidentally beautiful.

It was wierd being in that building – DON’T mention it here anyone – considering all the events I have been to/organised there….

Smallish party, seemed fairly safe while I was there…

How you anyway mate?

2 cars from newbury set off towards bristol way but we got news it was being shut down and all sorts, so, half of our lot went to reading while my car on the way back sat in a service station car park listening to psytrance doing balloons haha

for a night of no partying it was crackin 🙂

could be the same thing as Swine Don is round that way…

cops just don’t give up these days and leave it with two black rats and a CCTV unit, now if people disperse to another county they just call up the next force on Airwave and now you can get about two or three forces working together to put up roadblocks..

I’m glad to hear people got to the parties, but these days it does seem that cops are getting a lot more clued up and dealing with stuff way quicker whilst some of the crews are being slack and sketchy…. this was starting as early as 2003 and has steadily gone less in “our” favour..

(I think also theres a fair few ravers now who have crossed the blue line and taken their knowledge with them..)

Well i think what happened was most of the crews that couldnt set up at the main one, just went and did their own things in other places, shame really.

we went to on near trowbridge that got shut down, then we went to the reading one, i dunno, ive never felt such a negative atmos at a party, coulda been the seeds, but as soon as i got out i was totally fine, the music was horrible (sorry to anyone who djed) but in my opinion, it was loops of shit d and b, and thats all they played) a friend asked if they could put some techno on, and they were like yeah def some jungle techno yeah) i think i ruined everyones night by wanting to go, i would of been alright wandering about, i just wanted to get outta that place

TBH probably was the effect of a strong psychedelic in an unfamiliar (and enclosed/crowded surrounding)

Warehouse parties in Reading have traditionally had some of the best atmospheres of any indoor rave in SE England, from 2002-2004 (until the area got rinsed) there was some proper decent raves in that city..

One of the best party’s i been to happened in reading beg of this year.

AnD YEA THE ONE NEAR TROWBRIDGE DIDNT GET SHUT DOWN, THEY JUST BLOCKed oops caps the entrance.

the 1 in reading was gonna be part of the multi-rigger too but they realised couple of days b4 that ther was guna be problems with the venue/old bill so did this instead. We were all gonna go as so local n to see some mates n that, but after doin a heavy house party the nite before we were still at it sat nite n every1 just died lol
