Here is a link to news update:
I can see why this is happening but I am really worried about the consequences – whatever tactics are used to bring “peace” back to the area will be shared across 25 nations law enforcement authorities at the “europol” meetings
this incident will probably make cops/authorities across the entire EU keep more surveillance and control on every network of ravers / squatters / alternative people
Lots of my friends go to the European tekno festivals, but I have always felt that the events were never really accepted but “grudingly endured” as the countries (particularly newer entrants) couldn’t quite work out how to stop or control them…
I don’t think it will mean that the teknivals are immediately stopped but governments will flag them as a “security risk” (they do anyway) and surveillance and control measures may increase..
at the moment there is a reclaim the streets moving around in nørrebro area, playing music to da people, at 1700 continental time a demonstration starts at Blågaards Square, the same spot that reclaim the streets ends……fight for your right to partyraaa

Its on the BBC news website again:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6411559.stm
Some pictures off the web page:
Youths gathered behind protest lines, yelling at police and throwing missiles.
Police in riot gear blocked the streets as an anti-terror squad dropped from helicopters onto the building’s roof in a dawn raid.
The violence later spread to towards the famous hippy enclave of Christiania.
According to police, three officers and three protesters were injured. Among those arrested were foreigners from France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Lithuania, New Zealand and the US.
It looks really bad, it is good to see that there are not many people being seriously injured.
there was loads of (presumably more “trustworthy”) news at modkraft.dk but I couldn’t understand much of it (as it was all in Danish) – anyone got any translations?

found this on YouTube
the police tactics used are identical to those used in Great Britain during the 1980s and 1990s when there were some riots and protests in cities… at least no one on either side is (yet) firing live rounds..
