Interesting post psybastian, but if everything were to happen for a reason you must believe our destiny has already been written and there is A God?

Great way to learn from negative experiences, I’m the same, just get back up on that horse and keep going!

Deez, I think he is right, technically we use 100% but just never all at one time, I’m not sure to figures but we never use the full brain power all at one time

It really depends on how you define “Religion”. My practical definition of “religion” is a set of rules designed to protect the individual and society (with far from perfect results).

Is taking lots of drugs and going nutty part of any religion? Well, possibly.

I don’t DO religion, but I do respect it. It’s a bit like respecting a tiger… never know when the bugger’s hungry.

I do spirituality instead. Much less constricting.

When doing a brain scan they determine your brain activity, techniclly yes we use 100% of our brain lol otherwise we’d just be a vegetable. but we dont utilize through the right training the amount we can.

To be fair Wikipedia is not a source for reference, universities always tell their students never to refer or get reference from Wikipedia, why? Because anyone can create a thread and post whatever they want, don’t always believe wiki

My teachers say this also, but you do realise it is edited all the time and highly moderated.
E.g – I went to Jesus’ page and changed him from being a great philosopher or some shit to an infamous paedophile. Was gone within 5 minutes..

i believe there is a god. when i say god i mean everything. god is everything its me, you , the world, the universe, simultaneously experiencing life to contribute to the cosmos of god. a theory i thought of once was what if god was a child that has created us all to learn we are its eyes and ears. our lives are but a fleeting heartbeat. and there are other god children creating other races etc etc lol i have alot of what if thoughts. god is not some man sat in the clouds, judging weva your aloud to the party or not. you dont just live once then go to heaven lol.

Yeah but that was Jesus’ page! Most people are going on things that are a little more obscure than the messiah’s links to paedophilia!

If someone makes up a fact, even if another comes along to moderate it they might not know or have no way of finding out if it is true, so the made up fact stays there and people start believing it.

If there ever was a ‘god’ I recon it got bored a long time ago and fucked off to play with some other planets

As for religions, they are all created by people ( some of whom genuinely think they are interpreting what a god wants ) and are used as methods of control, in times past when people were less educated and far to spread out to enforce laws the promise of heaven and threat & hell ( good ol’ carrot & stick ) to make people behave was a decent & effective idea, now it’s just out of date and kinda sad

I dont like the multiverse theory at all.
Imagine the most horrific thing that can happen to someone in the word, cruel, vile and horrific.
If any possible event has or will happen ( in these infinite universes) – then that has/ is / will happen.
