There were even articles on local news sites for England as far apart as Ipswich and Bristol (not sure if he has ever performed in either place) and the Dutch news tooo
I always had respect for Prince as he was talented and short (shorter than I am by 8cm) even though I didn’t agree with some of his recent actions about copyright or his behaviour towards fans, journalists and partners – although I suspect (as he didn’t fuck himself up during the 1980s at the height of his career and grew up in an area full of drugs) much would have been caused over the years by legally prescribed medications he was genuinely taking on doctors orders for a variety of health problems and so he could try to keep performing even after being badly ill and in middle age.
I was going to try and put up “Sign of the times” in response to Angels comment about “WTF is going on?” but the copyright wrangles mean that half of us either won’t be able to see it in our country / would be forced to click away to youtube to view / blocked with mobile devices – which makes the lyrics of that track even more important (if you are too young to remember them then search for it by any possible means)
