Cheers everyone! Could use some help, we all have our vices and no one walks I anyone’s shoes. I however have a friend who is on Roxys and also taking adder all which just shocked me, I have lost 2 friends in there 30s in just the last month these are professional people banks, law firms etc. at a recent function a coworker took both a couple Roxys via long rail and chewed an adder all 30? He said. There was heavy drinking and deals going on, I feel I should say something given last 30 days I’ve seen first hand the damage done by Roxys. Any advice or should I just look other way. Never bothered by people’s choices especially in my profession but I feel like I should. Help anyone
Tough spot, you’re in charge and its your choice to intervene, kind of damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
Speed-balling is dangerous, whilst it might be slightly less so with pills instead of ching & H and sans a needle but mixing stims and opiates is terrible on the heart especially if done regularly, so weigh the risk they’re putting themselves into as you perceive it against the damage done if you get blown off and the friendship is trashed.
If you do plan on saying something do it in person in a sober setting and have someone(s) else present, that way its harder for them to ignore and hopefully it will get through to them. Best of luck.
I’ve had very bad experiences with it, I am twenty four in a care home. My heart really goes out to that person, panic attacks, paranoia, sweats, cramps, even hallucinations. The high becomes a nightmare of psychical an mental torture
Like he said try say something when they are sober, I know how bad it is to be put on a downer. I have developed psychosis from stimulants an never come down.
I’m trying to get clean so I can do a job to get off this drugs, best of luck to you
Not sure what Roxys are but the OP’s post reminds me of exactly what was going on in SE England during late 1990s to early 2000s; its good they have the courage to want to intervene before things get too out of hand as that didn’t happen when I was younger other than from “outside” forces like the Police, Health Authorities etc which of course led to stuff like more prohibitions/clampdowns and such things as US-style pre employment drug testing starting to make an appearance in the UK and Europe when it was previously unheard of.

my day job involves fixing up the computers; phones and other IT / tech stuff in these places.
I had wondered why in recent years there were often fairly young people admitted to facilitites that were more geared towards treating 80-100+ age group.
With some it is obvious why as they have also suffered serious injuries from road traffic collisions etc and are disabled, or have genuine mobility problems/chronic pain which needs treatment; admission to this environment does mean they get the treatment and can also have stronger meds without risk of diversion affecting others / creating more addicts.
There are other early middle aged people in there some of whom do also clearly come across as “casualties of the swinging sixties”; it is a bit worrying when you notice that when you are in your 40s and led a fairly hedonistic lifestyle in your youth.
In all these cases it is not a fun place to be or an “easy ride with free accomodation”. When I am done with my work (no matter how long a shift may take) I am at least thankful that I can spring the door lock and cycle home….
Roxycodone is oxycodone just mispelled or a certain branding or something.
