SWIM is XXXXXXXXXXXX and has been diagnosed of an acute form of Bipolar Disorder but a case still more severe than Cyclothymic Disorder. S/he has been prescribed Lamotrigine 100mg upon waking and Quetiapine 200mg a half-hour to an hour prior to bedtime or during the day if s/he is suffering a hypomanic episode or it is her/his opinion that an episode is impending. S/he was advised by her/his psychiatric doctor against the use of any drugs that act by inhibiting the histamine receptors (antihistamines) including diphenhydramine due to the fact that quetiapine also inhibits the action of histamine. First: Is it safe to combine Quetiapine and Diphenhydramine? Second: S/he ingested 35mg worth of oxycodone orally in the form of 7 5-325 (Oxycodone-Acetaminophen) tablets after insufflation 30mg of generic IR Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine salts 6 hours prior. S/he has an extremely uncomfortable tight feeling in her/his chest at the moment. S/he would like to take 25mg of diphenhydramine for itching due to the consumption of said opiates. Would it be advisable for her/him to consume the combination of Oxycodone 35mg, Quetiapine 200mg, Diphenhydramine 25mg, and Lamotrigine 100mg? I’m sorry if I am violating any rules by using the acronym ‘SWIM’, I’d be willing of course to remove said acronyms from this post. Thank you for replying.
no, don’t take any more of anything at least for the rest of today- when I was that age 30mg of amfetamine (which was hard to get hold of!) would keep me awake for a night or more, and the other stuff appears to be have been prescribed to you for a good reason. an “uncomfortable feeling in the chest” is not good at any age – it means your insides are working hard to get rid of the unwanted metabolites of the first lot of drugs.
Any more and you are risking ending up in the Ambulance.
TBH if the “pain in chest” persists for more than a day or so I suggest going to the doctors anyway. I am not sure if high school terms are the same in USA as in Europe but if you have exams coming up soon I would schedule a visit before these…
im no doc but when in doubt, don’t take more drugs

SWIM’s good now. S/he took the Benadryl and slept. S/he feels like crap, but that was expected. 30mg isn’t much for him/her either, S/he usually need like 50. The 30 was just because s/he was sleepy in the a.m. High School? S/he’s not even there yet man. Next year.
LOL at how ‘dogging safely’ is a similar thread apparently
Especially lamotrigine or Lamictal, can cause chest pains, but I didn’t think that small an amount would give that effect. I take 600 mg a day now but earlier when I took 800 I could sometimes get chestpains too, that’s why I get 600 now.
I have however never mixed it with other drugs but I can’t imagine it would be a good coctail.

SWIM is only 14 though.

probably a little safer.
was prescribed 200 or 300mg of lamictal but stopped taking it after not a long time, so not very familiar with it.
i would caution combining too many pills both for medicinal and recreational effects. from your post only the combination of the amphetamine and opiates gives me any real pause, terrible on the heart, have known people who succumbed to early death because of speedballing or from other drugs but combined stims and opiates frequently in their lifetime. don’t repeat this behavior, probably good that “swim” had a negative experience and doesn’t look to repeat the combining of opiates and stimulants, if you start to do this frequently at 14 then you will most likely die between 18-34 if not sooner.
as far as antipsychotics and opiates its probably not ideal(they are both “downers” in the general sense) but if the seroquil is keeping you sane and you still want to use oxy then be my guest just be aware of the common side effects specifically high blood pressure and high pulse rate as rebounding from opiates could worsen these. not sure of the lamictal and the antihystamines with opiods, hopefully someone else can chime in and take the ball from here.

Hey, did lamictal do anything for you? I’ve been on it for depression due to the Bipolar for 3mo and it feels like I’m on nothing! And for the speedballing, I’m not planning on stopping. It’s hella fun. Tonight it’s the 200mg Seroquel, But w/ a twist, insufflated. Along w/ a tad of elavil, A few shots of bacardi, 20mg oxy, 10mg diazepam. And then a bike ride while chain smoking some paul malls. My blood pressure I actually got checked today, 92/62. High blood pressure? Nahhh.

was prescribed lamitcal for seasonal affective disorder believe it or not, took the samples(they were chewies) to build up to a 200mg(i think) dose but after i had to start filling it at the pharm and they were no longer chewies(sounds stupid i know) i lost interest and began to dial my dosage back and stopped taking them over the course of a few weeks to a month. never really felt much of an effect, although they have quite a side effect profile, so i’d just kick it and find some other way to deal with depression. they don’t really know what the fuck it does in your brain and it has been on the market for like 50 years. i think seroquel is probably fine for Bi polar depression by itself.
as far as speedballing i’ve only seen it be particularly destructive for IV drug users(and that is with C&H). doesn’t seem like you fit the bill for that ROA so if you keep the doses within reason i don’t see a problem with it. i failed to clarify that in my prior post, probably made it come off a little stupid. just keep the doses within reason and it is a fun vice.
seroquel is pretty light as far as side effects go.
switch over to organic tobacco man.

I don’t know how an anticonvulsant could be useful for Bipolar..

i think the logic is that it regulates your sodium channels and this evens you out.
