if its your first time then I would say 10x tops. Salvia is very powerful and should not be under estimated. find a room you know and trust, have people around you which can watch for signs of things turning sour.
a lot of what happens in the trip is out of your control so be seated, or on a bed. when it comes on it can creep upon you within seconds so maybe someone on pipe catcher duty may work to your advantage.
now on to taking, i would say for your first time a pinch of salvia in the bowl is enough, your only trying to find your way with this one so lets keep it sensible! ‘toke’ as much as possible, try not to exhale until you feel the boiled is acceptibly charred :). your first time may be like the first time you inhaled a ciggy, coughing and a thought of ”eurghhh!!” may follow)
the effects come one quick so remember, someone close, pipe catcher and o yes a glass of oj to get rid of the taste quick before the fun begins.
after 10x there are many more, but just take your time and stay safe
