ah sorry, i misread
I’ll have to watch the Utube docs when I get my arse out of China – they’re a little paranoid of the site over here.
Obtaining monies by deception is what religion is all about. The beginning of Zeitgeist and The Man Who Sued God gives a bit of insight. It’s up to us to resist! I mean fuck, as long as I ain’t queuing up somewhere to hand them my bread then it doesn’t bother me. At least I can see the religious people coming from a mile away, it’s the dude who’s cloning my back card I’ve got to watch out for!
Well, I’m not a Scientoligist. Scientology is a religion. Basic idea is to gradually work people away from their base fears and earliest traumatic experience (“Basic-Basic”) in order for the conscious mind to accept what has happened and move on. The Dogma of Scientology (big lizard Xenu etc) is like other creation myths – a grain of truth surrounded by an oyster of gooey fluff.
I HAVE studied Dianetics, the psycho therapy method devised by L Ron Hubbard. Guess what? It works. Slow, expansive, and prone to human error, but it’s just as valid a form of therapy as other techniques.
It is natural and very human to think the worst of things that you don’t really know about. Scientologists are not any more evil than say, Jehova’s Witnesses (and quite a few of them went to the gas chambers, along with homosexuals, gypsies, communists, as well as Jews).
Think Robin Hood – didn’t he have a record of taking money off rich people and redistributing it? Was that evil? Well, if you’re rich, of course it was.
Well you can all do me a favor and sub Torymagoo44 on youtube. She is an ex-member who worked for the CoS as a covert internet agent where her job was to create false accounts on critical forum and…. well big up the CoS and argue with critics. She has a fantastic collection of videos, her escape series where she explains the days leading up, on the day and after she blew from the CoS and what they did to her in order to stop her. I don’t want this website to get a bad rap for being “religious biggot so i’m keeping my mouth shut about what I truely believe, but please sub tory, listen to what she has to say, do some more research and make your own mind up.
Which also bring me to another point. CoS also own the cult watch helpline, invasion of the body snatchers or what. This other website which CoS use as a slam site for critics is this Exposing Religious Intolerance if you stand up to CoS and go public this website is where you will end up. I was reading the slam on torymagoo44 on there and just looking at the way it is written you can tell that it is sooo one sided. Anyway that sites alway good for a laugh if you want to cheer ypourself up on a rainy day.
But anyway watch some of torys stuff, if you like it PLEASE SUB IT.

The Church and the therapy type stuff is completely different, obviously there is some hook to get people joining ridiculously evil things.
Scientology says that you should ignore psychology and that mental illness does not exist, your mental issues are trapped pain from past lives. :crazy_diz

Psychology has a lot of holes in it. It’s not a formal science. It’s a study of how the mind works. In the “Great Divorce”, science took on psychology but decided that parapsychology “wasn’t scientific enough”. How’s that for bullshit?
I’m sure psychologists mean well. So did Hitler. So did everyone else with a marvellous model in their heads that turned out to be just the same old domination and supremacy game.
What a fucking crock of shit. Every sodding “holy man”, “scientist”, “magi”, “great leader”, all at each other’s throats. (I’m having a bad day in spite of the glorious sunshine).
You can see why I rather mess about with technology than people. At least with technology you can say to a certain extent HOW fucked up it is and estimate HOW much resources it will take to fix it. With people it’s just an endless scrolling list of “Help me, I can’t cope”.

If psychology has lots of holes in it then scientology is a hole :laugh_at:
Technology is good but i’ve never found a sexy computer who’ll cook food for me when i’m hungover and treat me like a God.

Psychology is OPINION about LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS. The real world isn’t a laboratory and some events are one offs.
Hmmm… some people think it’s perfectly “normal” to nail supposed Gods to trees. Or indeed nail themselves to trees to emulate them. Or in the case of self proclaimed Gods, set fire to them. Or stone them. Ritual strangulation happens sometimes.
Takes all kinds I guess.
