I have a skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis, it basically means my skin is as dry as a nuns proverbial, today, I had a baaad case of it. I’ve ended up scratching my shine, ankles, scalp, chest and back to buggery. It’s not fun.
End of pointless post/thread.
what do you use for it?
Currently I’m using cetraben, its basically grease. I’ve also got hydracautisone (cant spell it) 1.5% which is REALLY strong stuff for when my skin is proper bad. To say this shit ain’t cheap is an understatement lol
I’m not available atm, I’m currently covered in cetraben cream waiting for my skin to cool and get moistened. Chances are I’ll be about in an hour or so
I’m in a fair amount of discomfort here, gotta go to hospital on Monday, off to the senior dermatologist to finally try and sort this out….
Good to hear your going to dermatology,
my ex used to have bad skin, and I would buy all the potions / lotions (which he wouldnt use!!) and I would even clean and dress it when it’d get infected.
a healthy diet, stress management and not too much wheat / alcohol etc would help it, but again he wouldnt do this – he’d rather put up with it and complain,
a friend would have to use (I think) cucumber extract (or something similar) and then sit in front of a light box as UV is really good, that was at the hospital via the dermatologist. and his really improved,
hope you get some resolution soon!
Anyone know where to get and how much the light box’s cost? I know my mum used to have a tan lamp, but it was really old and ate electricity way too much.
everyone I know who have had it have gone to the hosp and had it there as part of a treatment regieme
Ahh, was hoping to get one for my room so I don’t have to leave my house ever again. :laugh_at:
