No one from the internet is going to sort you out drugs.
Apart from rapists.
yeah cliffy will sell you drugs 😉
I don’t do drugs.
any one wanna pay for my tickets and my whole everning? … no … oh well was worth a try :laugh_at:
sneak in!!! if you manage it i’ll buy you a drink!
I’m well up for this tonight! just getting shit ready for it!
Soz all out got loads of ctx and txc might be able to dig up some 3ty’s if you fancy?
Anyone go….??
A shameless copy paste from Squatjuice here, but I thought I’d post my views here too!
I had a good night. Wasn’t as busy as I thought i might be but it was still a laugh. Camped the Oldskool room most of the night, pity it was mostly dead in there though!
I understand the ID bit, that is standard these days in my eyes. You do get alot of underage who look older. I know someone who is 16 and could easily pass for about 23. However I wasn’t too impressed with the ID Scan and the Fingerprint checking. Fair enough safety is a big issue, but if fighting preventing crime successfully comes as a result of living in a concentration camp then I’d rather not, to be honest. Shouldn’t have penalise everyone even if it might be for their own benefit…
Does anyone know the name of the bloke who was MCing over the techno :-/ Running around the crowd trailing his mic cable 10 meters behind. Was different to say the least.
Last whinge is probably about the bar. They ran out of most things pretty quickly. Nothing to do with the organisers to be fair, but I think I probably only got 2-3 of what I actually wanted to drink before being left with the choice of Skol and Guinness.
Buuuut, as far as clubs go, it was a good laugh. After all the tunes were good, good atmosphere and what not. Bit gutted I couldn’t be in more than one room at once, too fucked to pay attention to time/set lists so missed some top sets. Props to some of the lineups.
Oh and whos Idea was it for the toilet atendents to offer you fucking chumpa whump lolly pops every time you went for a fucking piss ;D (2 for 50p) Very neatly arranged on the auderve tray though I must add.
glad you had fun but heard mixed reviews about it and even though many of my old friends were there I am simply not going to put up with the security régime at places like SE1 – some of them were doing events 10 years ago at SE1 and even then the security were fairly harsh so I didn’t go even then…
Though I expect the younger people here enjoyed it unfortunately people on this scene were given 10 or more years to try to “self regulate” and fucked it all up
For all the faults of “Londonistan”, its becoming apparent that “normal people” what aren’t involved in the so called “underground” the drugs/party/music scene (I’m including grime/garage in this as the rest of society does as well) seem to get along fairly well without stabbing or shooting one another or being stupid with drugs or fighting over turf – I don’t mean just boring people what conform to society, even many normal musicians/artists/performers seem to know how to behave
you don’t have to have ID scanned at the Tate Gallery or Old Vic..
contrary to what you are saying alot of these people are most likely massive coke heads … but they still get into the tate ect. with out needing security like what they have at comercial raves. i blame monny (amongst other things).. or lack of it … as this drives people to become competative in order to GET monny and this causes aguments and then leads to fights and sillyness:hopeless::you_crazy
nah thats what I meant, all them artists/luvvies/journalists etc do and have always done bare drugs but most manage to keep a level on it…
I get what you are saying about competitiveness and money but whilst I didn’t go to SE1 this weekend I lived in SE13 and SE9 and spent a lot of time in SE6, SE14, SE2 and SE10/18 in the early 90s and it was’t perfect but the streets weren’t as bad… there were bad people about but they seemed to keep away from the raves most of the time without anyone getting stabbed or shot in venues…
