Hi fellow ravers!
As a passionate raver myself, I try to participate in the electronic dance music scene as much as possible, party-wise and professionally. I’d love to share some of those experiences, but have found out I don’t have the skills of a DJ or producer. That is why I have decided to write about it to share those moments I love with the rest of the world.
Hard music is my passion, so I’ll be writing and sharing hardstyle and hardcore. Are you interested to read, discuss and enjoy these party moments with me? Please follow We Dance Harder!
Cheers,
Liz
Welcome Liz 🙂 thats an excellent blog and really good for people to get a true insight of the NL events scene and EDM as a whole.
Although I can just about read partyflock and have occasionally posted on there there is way too much for me to folllow nowadays and it seems to have become “een beetje te “mainstream”; met minder gezelligheid.
I also regularly see folk from UK asking for info about events in NL but don’t have the time to translate every flyer/website (although many are partly in English they often to be 50% translated and important bits sometimes left out)
One thing I’ve always wondered about Dutch music culture – how come there seem to be far fewer EDM events in places like Groningen and folk no longer set up pirate radio stations to play EDM?
they did before Actie Etherflits in the 2000s as I saw a house DJ on the documentary about it but now its just the chaps our Dads age playing their piratenhits (I’ve grown to quite like the music and got a lot of respect for them as I’ve learned useful stuff about sound engineering and electronics from their websites but its defnitely like the music my Dad enjoyed in his youth :laugh_at:) Is it just because most EDM fans are in towns/cities so internet broadcasting is less hassle and effective (I know the broadband in the rural areas isn;t always as good as some of the jongens on a pirate site explained to me how slow it is; its worse than the rural area of England I work in!)
