crack isn’t physically addictive.
Fair enough, I stand corrected.
Dear god can you IMAGINE if coke was free. Think of the costs! Disaster.

No, it wouldn’t make billions for our country. Because coca leaf isn’t a natural herb in the UK.
We would have to import it (from countries where coca leaf growing is legal).
Also, if crime is reduced, then obviously there are less judges, policemen, lawyers, probation and prison officers needed. Do you seriously think such powerful groups are just going to meekly accept redundancy and economic starvation like… like… like poor people do?
Thanks for the replies!

em, no.
Why not? Can you justify your dismissal of my proposition?

and who is going to pay for these people to be allowed to do what they want and get given as much free crack as they need
The same people who pay for “these people” to be locked up (where they are fed, clothed etc.) and in hospital/rehab – you and me. The only difference is that we will have to pay less for them to be given an endless supply of crack than we will to keep them in prison.

You don’t get ill from stopping coke. The way to get off coke is to stop ASAP.
But they can’t “stop ASAP” can they. They have a psychological addiction to coke, can you imagine how bad they must want it if they are willing to steal and be prostitutes? You obviously have no understanding of how powerful addiction is, and how hard it is to “stop ASAP”.

If you don’t like my threads don’t post in them. I’m not a ‘troll’ just because you don’t like my opinion.

I know a few present and former crack users and…all their crimes were committed while high on crack not while craving it
Maybe we could let them smoke crack in a safe environment, with security? Also not all people on crack will behave violently, the same way not all drunk people behave violently. The woman smoking crack on ‘Skint’ last night didn’t behave violently, although she was clearly an addict.
I look forward to reading your replies 🙂
How’s about this for an idea?
Automatic dosage and release meter, intravenous. Sort of like an offender tag worn on the wrist.
Here’s the snag – infections would kill a sizable proportion of the people using it, unless they’re prepared to live under hospital levels of hygiene.
Smackchimp you are an idiot!
Now i could be wrong here… but i’m VERY inclined to say that Smackchimp is a crack addict himself.

Well looking at the content of both their threads they must be a thieving crack smoking smack whore.
Would explain their stupidly skewed perception of the situation they speak of.
Yeah addiction sucks, I’ve been there, but being given a free supply of what you crave will never break the cycle. If you’ve managed to get yourself into a position where the addiction cannot be stopped then why the hell should the state, or its people pay for you to live out the rest of your days getting high and giving nothing back in return?!
I could see the whole giving people skag and slowly weaning them off it scheme benefiting some but give crack heads as much free crack and coke as they want is just retarded.

Yep I completely agree. TBH i see no positive outcome of just giving out free crack in an attempt to get the users off it whatsoever.
@Smackchimp, do you really think this is a system that would work?

Hey, WOAH. Slow down a bit. Ad hominem? Against the man?
Perhaps they just want to take the cash off their local crack and heroin dealers. That could also be a motivation for the threads.

…..and there are your argument collapses on itself. Not all people that use crack are addicts and as you stated not all users/addicts display antisocial behaviour, so why should I pay for this group of users to receive free drugs when they weren’t previously costing me anything?

“You have an addiction, therefore I am going to give you an endless supply of what you’re addicted to” has to be the dumbest strategy I’ve ever seen or heard, and I’ve studied the Vietnam war.
lol, this is a good troll 🙂

No.
Should all recreational drugs be free to buy from registered pharmacies or licensed outlets to those over 18 and with care leaflets included?
Yes.
+1
