unless its the hardcore Japanese snail what can survive being eaten by birds and excreted and still live

in Malaysia there are also trumpet snails which get everywhere and hide in postboxes, when my mum lived there she actually said not to bother sending her a birthday card as the snails would eat it..

I once met an African janitor who had never seen a slug before (one came into a toilet block he was cleaning, and he was intrigued by it and asked me what it was. He had heard of and seen snails in his country but not slugs. There are some species found in Africa but I guess they weren’t where he lived – perhaps its too hot for them in some parts of the world.

I guess as well that there are quite alot more preditors to slugs in some parts of africa and as they havn’t got any protection like snails have they might all get munched pretty fast?

looks like a snail and a slug have a high speed RTA…..and the snail lost cause its basically a caravan lol
