Agreed. I’ve gone cold turkey and cool turkey. The first week was cold but now i’m cool.
Cool being i have the gum but i rarely use it, I’ll use it when i really get pissed off. I’ve adopted this method because i didn’t want to get hooked on the gum, would rather wean myself off nicotine altogether tbh. 😉
so ive been told – your best to get the nicotine receptors to normalize as quick as possible by cutting any form of nicotine intake out of your daily routine all together and after 4 weeks (of hell) you’ll be ultimately ‘craving free’..
when I tried using the patches and gum to relieve withdrawls I found they just prolonged the overal process of quiting, and almost felt as if I was cheating cos by putting nicotine back in my system I may aswell just spark up and enjoy a fuckin smoke!
If you find a method that’s working well for you just stick with it

I found leaving the patch on over night caused some really fucked up dreams, they would linger when I woke as well which really played with my head :crazy_diz
Makes sense really. I think that’s where i’ve failed in the past. I’d be using the gum non stop or like when i had an E cig. I never really got out of the habit of using nicotine or the mannerisms that go with smoking.
The pangs are a bit shit but they don’t last that long tbf. I’m still just taking it one day at a time though.
I am quite happy atm though, i’ve always been slightly underweight for my size and i’ve put on just under half a stone in the last two weeks.
Luckily though i am walking everyday so i ain’t gonna end up a fatty lol!
