Still going strong. I have a question for those who have stopped smoking.
After stopping did you have weird sensations in your veins, kind of a prickly feeling.
Since stopping I’ve have this weird prickly feeling in the vein on my neck. Doesn’t hurt or anything but it’s bloody annoying.
I wonder if my veins and arteries are ‘cleaning’ themselves out?

yes – I got really worried as it was similar to the problems I had in my hands with the carpel tunnel, and I thought – shit its come back
however it is the oxegen retuening to your nerves etc, as you are absorbing more – very common and only lasts a few weeks
I am struggeling, hope I have not propper relapsed already – in my head – the sunshine and thought of festies etc…. so silly – need to remember that its yucky and nasty and I am so much better off not smoking and need to stop associating it with things like summer. its not helped that I have put on about stone and am seriously working my arse off in the gym to shift it before the summer :cry:

not had that myself, still going strong though. Loving being free of the fags, wasn’t even tempted to have one in the pub with many beers. Same goes for pot, no temptation there either. But my life has changed so very much. raaa go PV giving up gang

Thanks TG, That does make me feel a bit better that I’m not the only one this is happening to.
Are you on any nicotine replacement at all? I tell you what helped me, the nicorette inhalator.
I used this for one month and then stopped using that and have been nicotine free now for about three weeks.
It’s probably the best thing I’ve used so far and is perfect for those nights down the pub.
I wish you luck! :group_hug
I love smoking! simple
I used to mate. Used to love sparking up a fag.
In some ways I miss it but I definitely love being smoke free.
Feel more healthy, got more energy, stuff smells better, money lasts longer and I’m putting weight on (which is good for my skinny ass)
Non smoking ftw! raaa
fuck that…it’s a mass hysteria…have tried out both…to be non smoker(one year) and a smoker….the differrence is nothing at all(at least very little when you do your normal exersice) if you do the same as you do as a non-smoker(training…), but you loose the cosey moments….be active as non-smoker or not is the way…. a for now I say keep the ganja light burning…
I don’t smoke green so I keeping the ganja light burning doesn’t apply lol!

no – I’m an Alan Carr girl
I only had mild withdrawals – sweaty poor sleep for a few nights and that was it
I’m not wothdrawing – but am just …mmmmmmm…. if that makes sense? as stopped atleast a good few months ago now
its all about association for me – and just need to retrain my brain – and prehaps read the book again to re-inforce my thoughts
I am much happier not smoking – even down to not smelling of fags, better teeth and fingers (roll ups) and more money to spend on other shit like the gym, and my chest much better.

Exercise does not remove the tar from your lungs or reduce your extra cancer risk from smoking. And I very much doubt it repairs the damage to the heart although nor remove the In fact I cant think of any effect it would counteract smoking wise other than improve other areas of your health. Plus if you smoke you always have too much carbon monoxide in your blood as it likes to bind with that instead of oxygen (summery of the summery), so you can absorb less oxygen.
I only say because I hear a lot that its okay to smoke because of a lot of exercise when that really is not the case at all. Used to know some K heads who would take that theory even further, to match their own addictions.
