fuck that…it’s a mass hysteria…have tried out both…to be non smoker(one year) and a smoker….the differrence is nothing at all(at least very little when you do your normal exersice) if you do the same as you do as a non-smoker(training…), but you loose the cosey moments….be active as non-smoker or not is the way…. a for now I say keep the ganja light burning…
I’ve smoked weed and tobacco for a whole year then quit the next….. the year of weed and tobacco was completely soul draining and extremely bad for the health.
I hate smoking.
boo
got loads a stuff going on for me at the mo, (grand excuses I know)
yesterday I was told my anxiety was palpable and ressonating off of me – to the extent one of my collegues wouldn’t sit next to me
and I had 3 fags over since last night 😥
am treating it as a lapse not a relapse……..
Good luck TG. Tbh I would really advise you into getting a nicorette inhalator.
Don’t use it all the time but have it for emergencies. 🙂
Have not even tried….maybe if one of the guys I really liked said you should quit…I would consider it 😛
Just giving a quick thanks to Process about that Allen Carr book. I finally read it and haven’t smoked since.
It’s only been a week but hell I haven’t had any nicotine replacement nor had any pangs and I can safely say it’s thanks to that book.
Will it last, who knows. I hope so but I know what I’m like. Specially when coke and beer is involved!

you’ve just gotta remember what it says in the book. maybe keep a copy on you when you out or just re-read the important bits at the back before you go out on a session. its actually quite an interesting book tho isnt it?
glad you’ve stopped mate! 🙂
Safe cheers geezer, Yeah he certainly does put a different spin on things. The book certainly does something to people. My cousins read it, he was a 20 a day smoker and he hasn’t had one since Friday. it’s amazing how well it changes your attitudes to smoking and the brainwashing lol.
I’m telling everyone about it now!

It’s a good legacy he’s left though, It’s a shame he died of cancer but at least he’s still helping people even in death! 😉
excercisings been great. kept my motivation levels up through the dark times.
do you ever get to a stage when you stop thinking about cigarettes completely? computer sais no
I had a dream last night in which I was smoking. I woke up feeling pretty pissed off thinking I had actually smoked.
Luckily it was all a dream!!!

yes, i dont think about them any more mate, just takes time.
@cliffy those sort of dreams are a good sign cause thats a sign that the nicotine is getting out of your body. those types of dreams show that your subconcious still craves that substance, but is a sign that its getting out of your mind if u know what i mean. When i decided that i was gonna stop everything over night and didnt touch any drugs for about a year i kept having dreams that i was sitting infront of a table shoveling coke up my nose or at parties walking around and kept finding pills on the floor and eating them. totally bizare would wake up sometime actually feeling fucked or really spaced out and confused for a few minutes…
I dont think about fags at all even when drunk now, it can be done 🙂

Ahaha yeah man I’ve had dreams like that before involving rugs. Specially when the mdma drought first came into effect.
Although I reckon last nights dream was cos I had a few beers. Haven’t had a dream like that in the last week so it must be related!

I got a bit pissed last night, My brother offered me a fag and all I could think of was the passage in the book. “There’s no such thing as just one cigarette”
Was all I could think of so politely declined, that book has definitely changed my whole outlook on smoking.
Heading out to the pub in a bit though. might reread a couple chapters again just to be on the safe side! :weee:
