  • Well I’m glad the yanks that find their way here are the better variety :).

Well thankfully this isn’t hosted in murkha.

Honestly don’t know where the site is hosted tbh but the sites not even offered over https so the location is no doubt seconds away using the right tools 😉

This site is absolutely watched constantly. That’s why I’m always on my best behavior

I didn’t even think of doing a whois search.. But holy shit it’s US based. And holy shit, the location wasn’t the only thing seconds away :omg_no: I’m going to shut up though, don’t want to piss off the admins..

And what I meant in my last post was that it would likely be watched, not necessarily prosecuted. (At least in my state they’re strict with that). I think if the police really looked, they could probably grab a couple of people from ANY forum like this one (drugs-forum, hipforum etc.). They could make any ‘unorthodox’ comment look like conspiracy to sexually exploit a minor if they wanted to be assholes. Not to mention, even if an offense wasn’t committed, no judge is going to give a shit anyway.

    Sadly you are right bud.

Hey, if there is illegal activity on a website and the police find it, is that ‘The End’? Do they have the right to seize it? I mean, in the Terms of service it says that by using this site that you accept responsibility for anything that can come it and all that fun stuff, and that you agree to pay any and all fees to anyone if said content warranted so. But not even in the limitations of liability section does it mention being responsible for charges brought up to the site’s owner/group regarding the law. (unless i’m blind). If someone were to commit a crime and it wasn’t reported, wouldn’t the Administrator be responsible as well?

Sorry that was a bit lengthy..

As far as I know, and this is definitely the case in the US, sites have a certain amount of protection from what the sites users post so I’m pretty sure that if the site isn’t allowing or encouraging it, they should be fine. Not certain though so maybe someone with a better understanding can help.

the site won’t get seized unless they are encouraging something that isn’t legal or whatever, but individual users could be in trouble in their home country.

Yeah that’s right DB. The site owner isn’t held responsible for it’s users actions but those actions and that user can certainly be prosecuted for the acts.

I’m guessing the site is responsible for providing ip’s and all that fun stuff?

if they don’t cooperate they’re in trouble.
