the police Do monitor this site – we have lots of evidence of this –

for example: even the actual link to sites like this (so called ‘rave’ sites) have resulted in legal events (even previously held 3 day events) getting their liscence pulled due to police / council / busybody intervention :hopeless:

I don’t think police don’t give a shit, but I can say from 4 years experience of promoting parties that they don’t care as much as people on here reckon, at least not where we live.

I think you’ve misinterpreted what i said, but whatever. We’re just trying to warn you as TG said, even legals have been closed down because of being associated with this site. TBH imo if your playing that music its probably a good thing if the system gets confiscated. But dont be arrogant enough to think that if the police hear about it (which could well happen considering the ammount of publicity) that they wont do anything.

Depends what your local forces are like. I know nothing of London parties, but to say “its very unlikely a central unit is tasked with monitoring rave sites and the resources of local forces for this sort of thing would obviously be very limited” is rubbish as a blanket statement. I believe Norfolk or Suffolk have a unit set up specifically for dealing with raves, which will spend a lot of time monitoring this site and others. They also deploy helicopters and full riot squads, which doesn’t really come under “limited resources”.

Police have posted here before from other areas warning that parties advertised will be shut down. It’s your party, it’s your call, but please don’t say “Sorry, but you lot are like those small time dealers that think MI5 are tapping their phone. Thanks for your concern, but we aren’t new to this.” as though we are being over-the-top, or even naive as the latter part of the sentence suggests. There are people on this site who have been organising free parties for one hell of a long time, and are clued up enough to be realistic about openly shared information, not paranoid.
