TBH I reckon they are safer than in a conventional squat in England!
its not as if locals have sympathies towards the real owner (which may be the case if he were English and known to the locals), and even if the Met don’t agree with the squat it would be extremely embarrasing for them if Gaddafi’s henchmen managed to take any sort of reprisal action against the squatters on British soil.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they are in fact being protected by discreet surveillance from the Met anti terrorist squad, and MI5 / MI6 which is pretty hilarious when you think about it :laugh_at:
