Korno, with you photos, don’t you want to slap em into an album here on PV. Since this was probably the biggest PV meetup I have ever been to I think they should be added to the history.

If you look at the second pic at the table, they actually have a little rolland TB303 rigged up ready to begin a sequence. I can’t believe they had that rigged up LOL

Cool, if you look more to the left the have two of the AKAI MPK mini midi controllers and the MPK mini faders rigged up. I have a MPK mini but I have a 25 key with the knobs and drum pads all in one

another thing I read on a Q-dance e-flyer (in Dutch) was that they have a zero tolerance policy on sexual harrassment and anyone doing this will be ejected and maybe even handed over to Police and their ID-card details (which are scanned as condition of entry) also passed to the cops. They would only get a warning or caution but it will be on their record and all EU countries have sex offender registers. (I think only a serial offender would be arrested but there is CCTV everywhere in NL).

I don’t think this problem is rife in NL events any more than in UK but this shows their promoters and security take this issue seriously and want to put a stop to it. Hardstyle events are only tolerated there because they are no less safe than any other night time event even with the huge crowds… (they also seem to have a more equal gender distribution than the EDM scene in UK)

By the NL standards that would be classed as equally wrong (and yet gender dynamics and rôles are still complicated in North European countries, naturally people still have their raw instincts). it might all seem harsh but when there are 5 000 to 10 000 people at these events if they didn’t set out rules (and every Dutch event has a whole webpage devoted to rules 😉 ) you’d have the omnishambles of sexual assault and rape allegations that affects even supposedly safe events in the UK like Latitude (2 cases still unsolved)
