However, it is a nice day out (hopefully in the sun!) and a good place to meet up with people (old friends and new) outside of the usual environment.
being an old hippie – it sounds good to me
esp the oppt to meet old and new :bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl
Can anyone tell me…has the camping/vehicle park up under the flyover definately stopped…heard last year OB..sealed the road off and camping bit was fenced off???:yakk:
well the same warning is up for this year…
TBH I doubt if I will be coming as my mum and sister are over to visit for a bit and its first time I’ve seen either of them for ages, plus its a nightmare train journey to the fair.. two hours on the shittiest tiny train…
so what was it like? at least EA escaped the rain cloud, but I’ve heard reports of cops everywhere and evidence gathering teams actually filming people on site (at least in 2006 the CCTV kept to the outskirts of the perimiter in the cambridgeshire police bus..)
felixstowe didnt escape the rain cloud…………. =(
the rain came over this way early this morning, but those at SF (bearing in mind the event finished at around 20:00-21:00 the night before ) would have escaped it.
(you can watch the clouds and their progress/forecasted path on the met office website, click on the “latest radar” bit!)
well, I cant compair it to any other as not been before,
the flyover bit was shut down so no camping / vehicles there, but a fair few vehicles up the road
lots of police, didnt see any filming – but wasnt paying them too much attention tbh
there was a bit of trouble and a swoop / ?arrests where we’d been sitting by the main stage but we just missed it as popped to the bar – so dont know what that was about
I had a fantatstic time, dancing and meeting some nice people, so not gonna complain,
some good tunes and bands and cider :bounce_fl
and we didnt get a parking ticket after adandonng the car so that was also a bonus :laugh_at:
We did but didn’t mind too much, parked literally right next to the fair, Traffic warden was doing the car infront of us, wee pulled over and asked him how much it would be……..£35………between five of us not a problem….got out & let him get on with his job!!:weee:
that was gonna be our attitude ,
had driven around for a while and just thought sod it…
hope you had a good time?

Was a realy good day….if a little messy at points!! Met loads of really sound people… sat down by the Tipi’s for most of the day….Don’t know if you went in the games tent at all but late on that really kicked off, was pretty much a dance tent………rammed full of people properly going for it…also the reggae on the main stage at the end was really good….canna remember who they were though, any ideas??
dunno, did have a program but left it in leicester
the ska band before the dub were wicked too!! raaa
Police harassed one of my friends who actually had nothing on him, telling him “he knew he had drugs” and was generally really rude and kept making him go back to the sniffer dogs.
Then proceeded to let two rich bitches through without search who probably had enough coke to sink the titanic.
Cunts :hopeless:
thats a bit shit shpongled… was it good though? =)
