the worst part of it is the sense of entitlement people seemed to have to the party, both the organisers and the young’uns and how they seem to turn on each other when it goes tits up.
if folk are going to invade others private property (even if disused) especially when a Tory government has been elected by a free and fair election (even if half the nation couldn’t be arsed to vote) it makes more sense to be a bit more discreet about it.
When raves were last booming Tony Blair was floundering between trying to be “cool and down with da yoof” whilst trying to be Charlie Big Potatoes in Iraqistan so our country can carry on its energy-intensive lifestyles (and that includes raves, 20kw sound systems need 35kw of leccy to power them), so his govt didn’t really have the time to ask the OB to lock down parties (oh, and there was the slight issue of angry Muslims spontaneously exploding, dealing with which was most resource-intensive – which to be fair the feds have managed to stop in recent times before the govt changed).
Apparently the organisers were open about it because their houses got raided this week, but WTF did they expect to happen after Scumoween? they invaded that arty hipsters warehouse in town, rented to him and owned by a massive insurance company, did they really expect people like that to just roll over and let this sort of thing happen without reprisal?
Still a wasted journey to Enfield is a small inconvenience to a middle class London kid. They seem geographically challenged, as they claimed the rave was “next door to the Police station”, the OB are some streets away in Ponders End and it would have been 800 kids alighting from public transport (some FB posts directed them to Ponders End) and walking past them at some point creating ruckus what would obviously have baited things up somewhat..
Trecked from liverpool for it ended up at the party in hackney which was a disgrace £10 two rigs fucking money scroungers.
Im not saying I agree with this, but if they are going to do a big party and plaster it all over the internet and go under the rule that
Theres to many of us for the police to stop it
Then they should pick a central location not Enfield so when the party location is out the ravers can get there just as quick as the police and stop the police from stopping the party, I mean look at scumoween compared to scum dancing. Scumoween central location ravers get there round about same time as OB few fights broken vans but most importantly disturbance to central traffic/public transport. Where as if you hold it out of the way’ish then OB will probably get there before the ravers so they can secure the building cut the music off block roads like they did last night.
Like I say though im not saying I agree with these ethics of partying as it spoils it for the smaller party’s but if you’re doing one that’s how you should go about it IMO.
Also on the scum FB page they say this SCUM TEK A lot has gone on behind the scenes this week that most will be unaware of. 10+ people have been arrested a lot of equipment seized including kids mobile phones and computers, family homes have been raided just so you lot can have a party! The decision was made to make this event as public as possible so there would be a good turnout and help protect the rigs stop bitching just because the party shut down for once!
Grim as fuck.
They still know how to have a laugh though :

The Met have a very strong guard on the centre of London and monitor all flows of people, bear in mind in the last 10 years alone there has been every sort of terrorist attack on London, right wing white supremacist bombers, Muslim suicide bombers, as well as also many political protests and also gangs of rudeboys from the estates trying to rob jewellers and posh people up west. Movement of people is constantly watched and monitored on CCTV.
That scumoween venue only got took because its security had probably been compromised by one of the casual workers, the hipster dude what rented it came across like he was once a bit of a party head and probably might have bragged about it to the wrong people who broke in during the early evening (where such activity would go unnoticed). There aren’t many other big buildings in London just left unused like that and unguarded.

yep I read about that that was because they tried to take on not just the Met but some big property owning companies in the centre of town with Scumoween. Exactly the same happened to the party crews in the 1990s when they tried stunts like this, mate of mine who organised squat parties got his door took off the hinges, feds turned his house upside down, tipped his records and decks onto the floor, set his pet dog loose in the main road, and cops said to him “you break into other peoples property, we break into yours”. They kept up the pressure on him until he stopped being stubborn, settled down and in the end he met some girl and started a family and they are still together now but don’t party any more.
people have been given a easy ride for some years with raves but those times are over. Even the politicians and most of the senior coppers are all my age group and they know the tricks people use to put on raves.
so glad i used my head and decided not to go!!!
hope the rig that got taken have an easy journy getting it back, and who ever has been arrested is now safe at home witha cuppa!
its a shame as this had been promising, i was looking at the facebook page yesterday and there are some proppa idiots on there mouthing off about poor orginisation etc!id like to see them try!
lets hope the scum re-group and come back bigger & better & much more under the radar!
“the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didnt exist!”

you gotta look on the brightside of things innit!
tbh there was a wicked techno night on in bristol wich we went to and that was mega fun! managed to do some shameless promotion for friendz electric aswell
still woulda been nice to knock out some techno in laandan town!
hopefully this whole media thing can be laid to rest and the underground can go back where it belongs! deep underground! raaa
it amazes me people put so much stuff on facebook, when presumably they know these events aren’t accepted by wider communities, also there are many serving Police officers on FB on there in their own names and if they are the right rank they can just ask FB admin for private covert access and get it.. its even listed on a metpol white paper, they work together to protect FB’s brand and reputation so its “safe for families, children and private business”
I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories but can’t help but think bits of the ones about FB are true and it is there to wean people away from DIY culture back to the mainstream.

face book really is not the way to promote illegal dance events, it is far too prone to being comprimised, why anyone would want to promote their nos & directions on there is beyond me, its still happening even now!
back to the tried and tested methods 😉
since scumoween ive had a fair few private messages on here asking for party info from people i have no idea about!
live by the sword, die by the sword!
anyone know what rig got taken on saturday? pm me if you do, and what the arrested people are being charged with?

I hope they fuck off before they totally fuck the scene up for everyone else. And quite frankly bigger better and more under the radar is a contradiction in terms.

bigger & better = improved communication with ravers & rigs & not antagonising the police
grumpy! ha! did you get stuck in enfield?or is it just mondayitus?
i wouldnt really wish any crew that are putting on free parties to fuck off, its up to the crowd to vote for that with thier attendance, no one crew will completly fuck the scene up, but 1 crew can certanly damage it!
weve been through harsh times and crackdowns many times before, its all part of the game!

I just think scum is attracting way to much attention and the wrong kind of people. Bigger will just mean more bottles being thrown, more media, more kids who dont know what the fuck they are doing (just have a look at the scum FB page). Scum are doing stuff way too often and in my humble opinion very badly.
Whilst I doubt that they will fuck things up too badly, the government are now looking to change the squatting laws and that was announced after scum.
