A student in the US getting Tasered by cops after asking John Kerry an awkward question. He might have been being a bit pushy but they tasered him after he was cuffed.
I don’t know if they have a similar version of question time over there but I would imagine people must get tasered on a regular basis at something like that.
Dicks.
if stun guns are truly harmless like the government claim i reckon we should get tazers and get coppers, it’s be like paintballin with electricity, great fun and it might make ’em think twice before armin every copper wit a stun gun.
that is sick. arrested for saying “impeach Bush”?????
USA is fucked and the rest of the world is fucked because they have nuclear weapons.
the last time another country said fuck bush they got invaded (Iraq switched it’s oil bank accounts to Euros)
isn’t there another film on here where the Yank campus cops tasered some black guy in a university for not producing a valid library card when requested?
he did knick a microphone………
if someone knick my fiddy eight id have to have words wit’ ’em
freedom of speech in the good ole USA
its slightly before my time but I’m sure the US military authorities actually fired live rounds at students (killing a few) during the 1960s anti-war protests..
arab, not black. he was a registered student at the university, but didn’t ahve ID with him and refused to leave the library as he was busy studying
a Saudi mate of mine is a youth worker and took a group of young people (who were excluded from school) to the swimming pool. he was standing at the side of the pool talking into his mobile to his wife, who was pregnant and in SA, due to give birth any day. some kind by-stander called the cops and said that there was a terrorist in the pool. the cops arrived, and arrested him based on no evidence, cuffed him while he was still in his trunks and while he was responsible for 15 under-16 year olds
he was kept in the cells for 48 hours, without clothes and without access to a solicitor or phone call. the cops came into his cell periodically and told him that there had been bombs going off all over the city he was from (all untrue, but he had no way of verifying this)
by this stage he was in total panic, worried sick about his family
his wife gave birth to their first child while he was in a police cell in exeter (he had been due to fly home the night of his arrest)
is this country any better or worse than the countries that are demonised in our press?

That’s a sad and sickening story, Loon.
if the cops actually have the time and inclination to do this there must be very few ethnic minorities in SW England (hardly surprising, and until that changes I expect it will stay that way).
Round here if cops arrested every non-white person for speaking foreign languages on their mobile (and believe you me that angry people do make a lot of false “terrorism” reports) they’d have to cordon off half the town to keep them in
I remember reading somewhere that half the “terrorism” reports were simply whinging neighbours reporting old cooking oil cans/barrells stored in the courtyards of ethnic restaurants…
from a few minutes onwards i believe my jaw was on the floor with disbelief … what the fu*k!

The worst part is that we, the people who live in the States, don’t even hear about this.
