Its still illegal to do anything to swans unless you’re the queen isn’t it.
Recently a chap, from Somalia if I remember correctly, caught and killed the cobb swan from a park in Bristol (brave, stupid or ravenous?!). Took it home, intention to stuff it in the oven an eat it. Got reported to the police and arrested for it.
I’ve never looked at a swan an thought about the eating on it! Must look pretty tempting!
I dont think they threw the book at him, took the ‘how in hell was he meant to know’ appproach but . . .
‘Hands off swans’ pretty wierd law :crazy_diz
I have heard swans taste good actually, not that i have tried it……
Yeah i think you are right Tafira, your not allowed to kill a swan as it belongs to the Queen or something
its not illegal to eat swans, as i have ate some swan my self, my dad works for scot and southern electric, many things fly into lines, or lines fall into rivers, anyway my dads first there with his knife and fork, he had a swan fly into a poll so he took home cooked it, and it was real good, the texture of chicken with a beefy gamey taste, really good in sandwiches, hes also done the same with a pike and various other animals( pidgeons pheasents) not domesticated animals tho. it is illegal to kill swans tho, luckily the thousands of watts did that for us
ah i think that is what i ment lol!
i’ll get me bow 😉
