some boy gave me 8 mg of buprenorphine before, i didnt know what it was and i took it before an 8 mile walk on a chronicly hot day…….. i was horribly sick!!

Just been out with friends for the first time since making a stand against my heroin problem. I relapsed about a year ago and it had go worse and worse, not as bad as when I had a vary big habit 7 years ago when I was doing 2 grams a day but I was using about 2 grams a week this time.

I started a subutex program last week and have used it to cut the gear down. I thought I could handle a night out with some old mates, we went to the cinema then onto a late night drinking bar and it was terrible. I sat there detached and feeling waves of ansiaty and agrasion hitting me. I got slightly drunk but the whole process was awfull. I don’t think I can go back to a social life in bars maybe I just got old while relapsing??

as far as i know you have to compleatly have all the smack out your system b4 you take subs as if you still have it in your system you will hit instant withdrawal … but i am not a doctor and have never been addicted to or had to try and give up smack so don’t take this as gosspel .. mby some one on the forums that has been through this could clarify this and shed some more light?

but I think you prob took too much subutex intially

the general rule is 12 hours + after you last used, (24 + hours after last meth)

2mg subutex, if feeling ok on that (and not into a cluck) another 2mg in one hour,

again if feeling ok, up to 4mg the same day / eve

and then the next am whatever your prescribed

(or if on the blackmarket what you feel is appropriate 8mg subutex is approx 30mg methadone if I’m correct – and I may be wrong – this is not proffesional advise!!!!)

I’ve seen people detox on subbies really well if done properly – however this is individual – and sometimes it takes a little time to get it right, but good luck and dont think you cant do it because you’ve had a bad experience this time.
