So, two years ago, I had never been on any prescription mood stabilizers, or other drugs of that sort. I tried DXM Polisterix and DXM Hydrobromide recreationally, and the durations NEVER lasted any more than 12-14 hours. Then, I started taking Bupropion XL 300mg daily for about a year. I tried DXM HBr while on Bupropion, and that was a huge mistake. I took too much, and stayed too high to even get out of bed for 3 days, and remained high (and barely able to get out of bed) for another 36 hours or so. I assumed it was because of an interaction between Bupropion and the DXM (ex: 1, 2), and never took them together again. Three months ago I stopped taking the Bupropion daily, and two weeks ago, I decided to try DXM Polisterix again (w/ daily Dexamphetamine/Amphetamine XR 30mg, Temazepam 15mg, and an occasional Toradol 10mg), seeing as how the Bupropion is definitely out of my system by now, but I was not able to get out of bed (too fucked up) for 4 days AGAIN. Has anyone had a similar experience with Bupropion and DXM? And is it possible that the Bupropion permanently fucked my CYP2D6 enzymes or something? Why would this happen???
