Four men arrested on suspicion of being involved in the organisation of an illegal rave in Suffolk have been bailed by police.
Officers were pelted with missiles when they tried to break up the event at a disused warehouse in Homefield Road, Haverhill, on Saturday night.
More 200 people were at the warehouse, which was cleared by 0720 GMT.
Three men from Hertfordshire and one of no fixed address have been released on bail until January.
A notice to close down the event was served at 0140 GMT and officers contained the area, which was cleared by 0720 GMT.
FFS – what did they think would happen? The cops remind people every weekend that its zero tolerance, and friends of mine have gone to prison because of organising raves. All the venues round here got rinsed a decade ago, when I was still living in Reading I’ve had that confirmed by most of the older ravers in this area
Few people travel to Haverhill (or even live there!) out of free choice, and there’s a reason why a lot of the local crews (at least those who have any kit left!) didn’t use that warehouse..
TBH the problem with EA warehouses is that most of the disused ones were built in the days when working class people could not afford to use a motor car every day to drive to work – so they are all very near houses.
Any decent warehouse round here is still in use as there is still a lot of manufacturing industry in East Anglia.
idiots!
