and I’m not offended in any way … just a bit suspisious as you say you’ve taken all these drugs but don’t seem to know how they effect you.
sry if I’m wrong .. but what you say just doesn’t make sence to me alot of the time.

no not instant maybe 3 or 4 hours then i was like non stop happy like i won 100 million on the lottery it was like wow im all exited and happy for no reason lol. and btw that was befor ei had looked up what these pills where online like the placebo effect you mentioned, i took it felt like that then thought wtfrig are these things. thats when i googled the name on the packet
weed/solid? i hated solid you burn your fingers, but i cant roll spliffs any way i always relied on any one with me rolling or just eating it or bong/pipe..
you went a bit mental? i seen people go mental when going with out it but never on it. pain from not smoking it like herojn with drawals being in such pain with out it, dident you ever get paranoid or have nasty feelings when smoking it?
well placebo usually starts right after taking it = so god knows honey! but our minds are wonderful things 😉
I used to be the rolling queen – but no – not withdrawals I started smoking about age 14 and smoked lots and lots and went a bit mental – seeing stuff and such like – everyone is different – some can handle it – I guess what with what was going on in my life at the time it prob was too much – anxiety prob had a big contribution to my circumstances
and yeh – some people do have withdrawals – if they cant get any – but again this is more psychological – like cigarette smoking –
people associate certain substances with feelings and if they cant get it – can beome agitated etc –
with heroin it is a physical withdrawal alongside psychological withdrawal
my pain is period pain and the pot helps allieviate this

anit depressants dont alter your personality –
they will help with low mood but you will still have feelings and emotions – and you have to find the one that works for you – as some times you need to try a few to fine the right one
this is a common myth
there are some that have a sedative effect (if people are struggling with sleep)
and some that also have an effect to help with anxiety –
its benzodiazepines that can numb your emotions = and if you have an up to date GP they wont prescribe these long term or for depression!
these were ‘mothers little helpers’ in the 70’s and early 80’s but hopefully things have moved on since then!!

A simila story is why I had my head poked out of polys tent at shambala for a while lol … can’t stand the smell of canabis anymore .. makes me feel sick. :yakk:

I’ve seen people change alot after taking anti-depressants … and not for the good either, in most cases. Alltho anti psycotics are the really nasty ones that can turn you into a veg. Zotapine .. my mate used to take it poor fucker .. i tried it once to see what he was going through … and it’s not a nice experiance … he was taking it every day and was literaly confined to his sofa/bed/floor
hmmm

Have you seen Generation RX?
Made me cry when I watched that the first time (was going through some problems with someone who was taking prozac at the time).
I’m not sure if I’m confusing prozac nation with this ?
I dont think its always the pills that are the problem but the people who are taking them
my sis was prescribed anti depressants – and I was furious – what she had gone through at the time – she NEEDED to work through and was totally normal for her to be sad and unhappy (she had a miscarriage) and you know – there is an appropriate grieving period !!
and her GP just signing her a prescription took this away from her – and made her feel as if she wasnt ‘normal’ to be upset. she ended up taking them for a few weeks and stopping as thankfuly she realised they wetn needed and she was in the right place for her situation
SORRY to have sort of taken oven your thread and ended up discussing medication
but I’m also reading a very good book about
what happened to normal sadness!!! how the western society has medicalised normal emotion

well drugs dont effect every one in the same way, i mean why lie about it? who gives a *** beep.*** if i have taken any drug? no one really so what do i have to gain if i where to lie about taking drugs? especially on a forum with ppl i dont really know at all.
i just tell it how i remember it when taking the drug and how its effected me. i havent had any acid for around 4 years now due to not being able to get it… xtc maybe 3 now, again i lost all my contacts all i can get is coke and weed now and thats not even in england i get it… leaving from england for years at a time has made me lose any contact i once had here. though when i did have phone numbers i was getting coke and xtc.

nothing to be sorry or its all good, you answered y Q any way 🙂 so thanks..
those typed of medication are very popular though in some places and even more so when you go to a country that sells you anything you want in the pharmacy from weed to morphine.. 3rd world countries where they dont care like lebanon and ukraine
where are you currently based then?
or are you back in the uk?

for any number of reasons you could be making it up .. you could be someone totaly diferant from who you say you are … it’s the internet and drugs are illigal … you could be gathering ifomation for somereason … we get plenty of jurnos on here
But with out wanting to sound paranoid it’s just that so many times you’ve inacuratly described how a drug effects you (and like poly said b4 .. not a minor detail either) It just made me suspicious … that’s all.
I understand drugs effect people diferantly … but there’s no way on earth anyone could take loads more acid and not feel a stronger trip. If you truely belived this anyway .. why would you take 3 trips or 4 trips? and not just 1 trip? as you’d be wasting your monie doing more as it wouldn’t even effect you.

depends what they are on and what time of day they take them etc = but to be honest they are usually good at motivating people / just getting some balance back to then start working on why they depressed in the first place and if you dont want to get better medication or not you aint gonna improve – and depends on whether your taking other substances such as alcohol or ……
if you dont sort the origional source of the problem medication in the long run aint gonna cure it
it can help to a point for a lot of people – and you cant judge something on a handful of samples –
but the mind is a wonderful thing and depression incorporates every aspect of our lives – and sometimes a medication can not solveour social situation or our relationships or our childhood traumas etc
tallkin therapy is the best way forewards = but some people need medication to even get them in a place where they can do this
and I’ve seen people which such clinical depression – they are laying in their own muck, not eating – drinking etc etc and not attending to any of their basic needs
bearing in mind what I’ve done for the last 14 years – i’ve seen wonderful things happen and some not so wonderful things on a daily basis with regards to medication – so dont think I am championing it – everyone and every situation is individual
