Basically, Invisible Children seek revenge. If Kony is even alive anymore, all they’re going to do is cause more bloodshed and waste resources in a manhunt. That’s not justice.

This is just rich people trying to make themselves feel better by feeling like they made a difference. Actions solve problems. But the problem with action is that it inconveniences people, it takes time and energy to make a difference. I don’t think most people who shared that video would even be willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute to building a school, or even teach english to underprivileged children. Truth is, if people don’t have the will to act, then they shouldn’t even fool themselves into thinking they’re helping. Not to mention, the entire premise behind what Invisible Children is that they want US intervention. Because that worked out so well for latin america in the 60s and 70s, Vietnam, Granada, etc. Furthermore, it’s basically racist. They portray the Ugandans as helpless and defenceless and in need of the help of THE WHITE MAN. It isn’t the 19th century anymore.
