She have been banned from FaceBook because she show to much skin and is too sexy.

      I wonder what’s next :you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy

isn’t there also another statue of someone walking through the middle of Copenhagen stark bollock naked; accompanied by a goose?

Well from the picsyou sent me on facebook you should surely be banned for showing too much skin (fully nude) and being too sexy.

That person walking stark bollock naked through Copenhagen with a goose was MrsRobinson.

Like this one too, it’s funny but made some uproar when it was put up.

it is probably some kind of penance everyone there has to do since the 1900s when they nearly got hunted to extinction (this didn’t happen elsewhere in Northern Europe nor with any other bird species during that era, I suspect folk were eating them as they are large obvious birds that go around in pairs so thats a few kilos meat per brace).

Grågåsen var i Danmark nær udryddelse på grund af jagt i begyndelsen af 1900-tallet, hvor der kun fandtes cirka 20 par. Nu er bestanden på omkring 10.000 par (2010).

We still (or some) think that a goose is the only right thing to eat christmas eve.

It goes back a really a long time as you describe.

Turkeys are American birds that were introduced to Europe by US Protestants; although there are loads in East Anglia especially Norfolk.

there was a map in the British Guardian about what folk ate over Christmas in Europe; I was interested to see that nowadays geese are relatively safe unless they are in Eastern Germany. This might just be due to a reduction in size of ovens across the EU – or maybe on the border areas of NL the Dutch do not like Germans discharging firearms randomly in the woods (and in NL folk keep them for pets instead (like in the gooseparadise))

              I hate geeze :omg:

I was hunted down and bitten by a whole family when I was a toddler.

              Never liked then since :you_smart

maybe they were reincarnated from the ones in the early 1900s… although its unusual for a entire family to attack humans (I’ve seen a photo from NL in the 1940s where there are kids and parents walking through the park full of geese without anyone being hassled, including the photographer who would have had to use one of those large format cameras with a tripod)

One of the main EU research centres for geese is at Århus University; they have a British professor working there who is called Professor Tony Fox :laugh_at:

I’d like to buy those geese a drink.

I think one of the reasons for their attack was, that I were the only person vith a bag of bread at it was vintertime so they were probably hungry.

But I’ve hated them ever since :biggreen:
