I just tried to leave the house with the baby in our pram to take her to nursery and there’s a removals van blocking my front door almost completely. So I asked them to move politely and told them I had a baby but they refused and turned their backs on me. Argh! So I called their company who told me they would ask them to move but they didn’t. So I called the police who told me to live with it and I was being unreasonable for refusing to accept the movers’ suggestion of leaving the house through the window. AAARGH! Now I’m angry…

That takes the piss Dr-B, you should park a car or something and block the removal van. When they ask you to move suggest that they dismantle the van and rebuild it out the way! :weee:

Sounds crap Doc,I dont blame you for being Angry,I would be bloody furious and super glueing all the truck locks or something by now.

I would write to the local paper, naming the removals company. The only way to fight back is to cost them a few euros in lost business and bad publicity..

I had a sort of simiar answer from the cops when some tosser dumped a (presumeably) nicked car outside our house blocking our drive after he crashed it into another car – police told us there was nothing we could or they ‘could’ (be bothered ) to do… had to wait days for recovery truck to collect, at least it wasnt blocking our doorway –

A friend’s car and laptop were stolen from outside a venue we were at having dinner and drinks last night and the police refused to come out insisting he had to go to all the way the station 10 miles away. It makes me weep!
